Chad is a disabled Veteran who is said to rarely leave his apartment. In my opinion, without any other information, it's possible that the disability could invole TMI, mental health (perhaps PTSD) issues or both physioloigal/psychologial issues. I do hope he is safe. Perry Township police continue search for missing disabled veteran

***MISSING DISABLED VETERAN*** CANTON, OH The Perry Township Police, Stark County, Ohio is asking for the public’s help in locating 48-year-old Chad Polen. Mr. Polen was last seen walking away from his residence at Perry Hills Colony Apartments in Canton, OH, on June 19th, 2025, at 6:22 am. Mr. Polen is a disabled veteran who requires medication. He walks with a cane. According to his family, he rarely leaves the apartment and has never been gone this long. He is possibly driving a blue 2016 Honda Accord with OH license plate EVJ2737. He has multiple tattoos, including a camouflage tattoo covering one of his arms with army items around it, a tattoo of Jesus on the cross on his other arm, he has “Family” and a four-leaf clover tattoo on the same arm, and a POW MIA tattoo with a bullet casings wrapped around his calf. If you have any information regarding Chad’s whereabouts or have seen this vehicle, please contact the Perry Township Police Department at 330-478-5121.

Mission Person Chad Polen

On 7/27/2025, the body of Chad E Polen of Canton, Ohio, was discovered by searchers in the area of Mountwood Park. Mr. Polen’s vehicle had been discovered at the park several weeks ago.

West Virginia Natural Resources Police, along with search teams from West Virginia and Ohio, conducted another search of the Mountwood Park Area on Sunday, which resulted in the discovery of Mr. Polen's body.

No foul play is suspected in Mr. Polen’s death.

We would like to thank all the search teams, local volunteer fire agencies, volunteers, and the Natural Resources Police for the hard work and organization that led to his recovery.

We want to express our sincere condolences to Mr. Polen's family.
