Officials: Body found inside car previously registered to missing East Liverpool man Charles Fluharty

JEFFERSON CO., Ohio (WKBN) – A car was recently found in the Ohio River that was registered to a local man who went missing several years ago.

On Tuesday, divers found a car matching the description of Charles “Chuck” Fluharty’s. He is from East Liverpool and was reported missing seven years ago.

They found the car in the Ohio River in Saline Township, which is in Jefferson County. A body was found inside.

We reported our brother, Chuck, missing on October 19, 2014. [snip] After seven long years of wondering if he would ever be found, we finally got our closure. On September 28, 2021, AWP (Adventures with a Purpose) began their search looking for him. On October 5, 2021, we were notified he and his vehicle were found.
