Ann99, thanks, and I am just getting going......the tornado stuck an apartment complex on Burkhart and damaged some homes, I would say the damaged areas were within walking distance of Cheryl’s and her moms home, they were lucky, I live in Riverside next to Airway Rd and the tornado missed my home by 100 feet, my neighbors were damaged, but a engineer is supposed to check my home for stress cause by 170 mph wind, I heard a lot of wood structure cracking that night...

I have travelled in my car and on foot thru the severely damaged neighborhoods and believe me the damage is unbelievable...
I don’t think the tornados are going to have any effect on evidence or uncovering her body, since 95% of the tornado went through highly populated neighborhoods, so the chances of William disposing there are unlikely...
We only had two tornado deaths, one was a elderly man was killed when the tornado picked up a car and threw it into his second floor apartment killing him while he was in bed...and the second was a missing older woman just before the tornados but her lifeless body was found about 2 miles from her home buried in about 15 feet of storm debris..
I think Cheryl is either at the landfill or William disposed of her south of our area in more of a wooded area, which was not tornado affected...

Does anyone know if LE still has Cheryl’s SUV impounded? And why wasn’t the work vehicle impounded, it was one of the last vehicles she operated, maybe there was evidence inside.....

Does anyone know when Cheryl brought the work vehicle home the day before she disappeared, did she stop off at a bar, restaurant, did she meet someone, was she with someone, and was there evidence in the work vehicle, just speculating for that one and a million chance that maybe someone else was involved..

Question was the GF at Cheryl’s home , after the suspect made the journey in the black hoodie back to the home......

Where does the GF actually live, with her daughters, I remember a posting in the beginning that her home is behind the closed and boarded up old KMart store on Woodman Drive, for info specs that store is approx. a 1/2 mile from Cheryl’s home,

I know there is a densely wooded area on the one side of the old KMart, and behind, does anyone know if this area was checked...

I have seen this radar on TV and I did a lot of research on the use of the LIDAR radar, this radar can be attached to a aircraft, helicopter or a drone..
The aircraft , helicopter or drone is flown over a area in a grid pattern , the radar then on the computer strips away the vegetation and trees, to give you a clear view of the ground terrain, this radar has been used in some missing persons cases across the country because once it strips away the trees and vegetation it does reveal details such as shallow graves, or recent digging in areas that are not normally dug the woods,
I wish they would use it around here on the wooded areas within a 10 mile circle around Cheryl’s home, it sure beats humans walking the dense woods and missing something.....

Let's see what happens this weekend. Happy 4th

Tim, he went down Burkhardt. Given that he was spotted at Granville and Utopia, he didn't go east. There have also been rumors that St. Helen's pulled their kids in from the playground early that day when a suspicious person was seen walking near the school. Cheryl had been on vacation for several days so she hadn't been in the work vehicle since the previous week. Tuesday was her first day back to work. Police still have her suv.

Before I begin with a few questions I want to remember the lost and totally forgotten of Riverside that it seems like these individuals just disappeared and no one cares....

Joshua Peters, of Riverside disappeared October 15, 2015
Dustin REID, of Riverside, disappeared March 9, 2016, age 15
Haley Ward, of Riverside, disappeared March 26, 2016

I know Riverside PD , has listed William as prime suspect number one, but the dates of the above missing is bothering me, especially the two in March, and now Cheryl makes #4 , coincidence, not sure something keeps pulling me back to the list of missing..

Why are these people not mentioned and forgotten

The above post , thanks for filling in some of the details, on that fateful day , the reports of the suspicious man in black hoodie with white gloves, did the following occur:
Did the police canvas the area looking for the individual?

When did the police decide to connect the black hoodie man with Cheryl’s disappearance to go searching for videos?

If indeed St Helens school went on lockdown, why didn’t Spinning Middle school do the same especially when he had to cut through the school parking lot to get home?

I did travel the Granville Rd area to get a sense of his route, this route definitely added more time to his journey

Was there and witnesses to say if the GF was at the home waiting for him?

Was Cheryl’s work vehicle still at the home?

I wish the police would have connected the black hoodie guy with Cheryl’s case that day , that they could have got a search warrant for the home and black hoodie and white gloves..

Another thought when William mentioned the $4000.00 in the shoebox, why would he make that public, was he trying to let some of these “fine upstanding citizens” an invitation to break into my home, hey, look I hide large sums of money....

Sometimes I think the prime suspect “ was a French fry short of a HappyMeal”, but he did outsmart LE, he’s basically committed the perfect crime........

Tooltime, Bill never made it public...this little gem was given to police by Bill, when he called them on 10/6 and told them he suspected that Cheryl took it. Another dig at her, again insinuating that she ran away voluntarily. As it was reported later in MSM, I assume (please correct me if not accurate) that LE provided it to the media.

does Anyone know what the suspect did after he returned home wearing the black hoodie and white gloves, was the GF waiting, did he stay home , I know he returned to the Kroger store later in the day to admire his handiwork with the SUV, but the time in between was he home cleaning up the crime scene....

So his made up stories about Cheryl’s secret life, the so called missing money was enough to dupe the police for almost 10 days before someone , hey maybe we should search Cheryl’s home......a lot of damning evidence was lost during this period, sorry to say.....

I think the weirdest part of this case is how much damning circumstantial evidence there is against Bill, and yet how much grey area there is amongst his guilt because of other factors. For example, Cheryl was seeing someone. And, if I recall correctly the sister visited two watering holes she'd frequent before sounding the alarm. LE, time to release some info.

Wyome, I like what you posted, it’s weird because I was styping with my sister last night, she is a legal clerk at a defense lawyer and we were discussing this case, she mentioned some interesting theory’s on this case...

The fact that Cheryl was “playing” the field before she disappeared, opens up a entirely different route, my sister stated there is a lot of men who are trolling for women like Cheryl, successful, they think she has money , and to harm these unsuspecting women to steal is their game plan

Another fact and I really had to think about it, but it makes a little sense, they have seen where the husband works with another man to befriend his wife, pretend to be interested then eliminate her for profit....

She said don’t disregard the human trafficking trade, some husbands have sold their wife’s into this trade, for money.......

She also stated it’s not a pretty world for women in this society for being safe, there is evil lurking around corners to hurt......

Clearly LE believes the husband is guilty, or at least has publicly announced him as the prime suspect, so there's that. But even LE has come forth asserting that there are multiple people within the marriage and all were being cooperative. I'm just afraid that these things may have muddied the waters a bit, and LE is being extra prudent before proceeding because a good defense lawyer could use any of these gray areas to bring up reasonable doubt without a body.

Would love to see LE release something that can stir up the media pressure on Bill.

Was there any surveillance camera footage from these bars or clubs where Cheryl supposedly met other men, inside or outside footage.....

I have been doing some thinking, remember in the beginning when Cheryl’s family stated that the behavior spoken of by William , about the open marriage issues......if Cheryl was extremely close to her daughters, I just can’t picture her acting like this, it’s bad enough that William was why did she, what does this immoral behavior seem to her kids, once her divorce was complete I feel then she can do what she wants, but in my book the visibility of this behavior is wrong with children in the picture....and especially that statement William to a WHIO reporter that he did not want to express certain thoughts about Cheryl because like he said did not want to hurt the daughter...
So I can see clearly, the Florida trip , the accusations , no wonder the police have gray areas.....

But since this case has become stale, they do need to release another batch of damning evidence like they did over the black hoodie incident...

Wyome is correct and I agree with her, if new evidence is released, he could throw cold water ( no pun intended ) on him, and rattle his little so called perfect life with the GF.....

Does anyone think that William will tire of this GF and go trolling again, or is he stuck because she knows too much....

Does anyone also know if William has made some legal changes naming the GF as beneficiary of his assets or life insurance as a promise of silience.......if he should be arrested and end up in prison for life....

I am stating this because a married spouse cannot testify against the other spouse, marriage privilege, and since he’s not married to the GF he had to use plan B, money......

Is it because of Williams stories about Cheryl in the beginning ,the reason the police waited 10 days to search the home,
I am very confused about that length of time , I always thought when one spouse is either missing or murdered the other spouse is immediately put under the microscope..
When they the police found Cheryl’s vehicle abandoned the way it was that should have presented flags to search the home the same day, I consider a big misstep by LE

Guess what today would have been Cheryl’s and Williams wedding annivsary........

  • #555
I wonder if William is going to celebrate the anniversary with his pseudo “wife”,........

I wish we knew if the police are considering dropping to the public some more evidence on this case, just to keep it alive..

My greatest fear right now is where the tornado went thru on Burkhart Rd, and damaged the large apartment complex plus some homes before the tornado jumped the fence and headed towards my home, ......
That we could lose some potential witnesses to this crime , especially with renters moving to other areas in the area, ( if they can find an apartment , the availability is very tight, since the tornados)

That area on Burkhart Rd I am referring to is the same route the suspect in the black hoodie took to get home, worrisome situation....so any new witnesses could have moved away.....

Does anyone know if the police have been monitoring (listening) into Williams cell phone calls, I was just curious of who he called and spoke with when he abandoned the SUV and once he got home......

I was wondering if he had outside help ...

I saw a statement from Barb Carroll, (Cheryl’s sister) and she is disgusted, it seems like William (prime suspect) and the GF are heading to Florida 20-27 July, the sick part is they are heading to the condo in Florida that Cheryl had planned for her family this year ( Cheryl had booked this condo in August) ....

Does anyone know if a prime suspect in a missing persons / murder case can just leave the state of Ohio and go to Florida.....

I can’t even wrap my head around the fact that William is carrying on with life like nothing has occurred, why does he think he needs a Florida vacation, ..

I would LOL if the police arrested him on the day before he was scheduled to depart damn I wish that would happen..

I don't know if the police are monitoring cell phone...good question. Is that something that could be done? I've heard of LE bugging the home of a suspect before, but I don't know about cell phone.

Where in Florida are they going, do you know?

Sometimes, I hate where my mind wanders. Is it possible that Bill may be protecting someone?

It's definitely possible. He gives off a vibe that he's not concerned about her vanishing at all and seems to know that she's not coming back. Maybe that's just his personality...neighbors have said he's very standoffish and the GF has told LE he has a flat effect in his speech. That audio interview certainly highlighted that.

I didn't follow this case as it occured; just attempted to get caught up recently, but something to perhaps keep in mind in regards of LE not checking the house immediately is did they ask and Bill did not allow a search? If that were the case (homeowner not allowing LE to search the home) then a search warrant would then be necessary. Who decides/signs off on a search warrant; not Police or investigators.

I'm guessing the waters were muddied by the impending divorce, the open marriage; each seeing different people etc. If it's not clear that the person isn't voluntarily missing, a warrant is probably much harder to obtain. Perhaps LE's hands were tied there.

The household wasn't exactly "cookie cutter" at the time. (Knowingly and voluntarily by all parties) I think that made being able to separate "normal behavior" from abnormal more difficult, which in turn made disproving "off the grid voluntarily" a bit more difficult in terms of warrants, moving the investigation forward etc.

I hope this doesn't come off as my sounding critical of the victim, as that is definitely NOT my intention. Bill is clearly a suspect for a reason. Even if we remove everything that is known about the case, about him, the video evidence etc, just the fact that he isn't shouting from the rooftop for answers of what happened to Cheryl is telling, IMO. Even if the marriage was ending, he has a daughter (plus her older daughter) to think about and want answers for. Humans are curious creatures and nosey by nature. He would want to know the who the why and the how that left him as a single parent with no clear answers if he were an innocent uninvolved party. The lack of curiosity is what tells me he's not innocent or uninvolved. I'm just growing tired of criticism of the police department. Their hands are tied it seems (or that at least has to be considered) Cheryl's body hasn't even been found, that's a huge roadblock in moving forward.

JMHO.
