It would be really helpful if a family member or friend would be willing to join and be a verified insider. At least maybe then we could perhaps discuss new information or details vs mulling over the same things over and over.

With that in mind......I'm not going to shame the in-law for not being more vocal. Cheryl's immediate family wasn't vocal, so I'm not going to accuse an in law of being cowardly in their silence or not being an adult for not doing so. Do I think it was a bad move for everyone to be silent? Yes, definitely. But why single out a married in family member, when friends and actual blood relatives/immediate family have been equally silent?

Well I would shame the in-law, it’s not about worrying about hurting the feelings of the family members, it’s finding Cheryl,

So my feeling is if it causes a family rift, so be it, if the others want to act childish, what are they afraid of , the TRUTH.....

When my dad and I were pushing like hell of our Aunts murderer, it caused a serious rift that still stands today, it doesn’t hurt my feelings, I sleep good at night, my dad is long passed, but he let them have it good just prior...

Cheryl does not have a chance of being found, all the cards are stacked against her, her family and police, I feel sorry for her..

We don't know the family dynamics. Some in-laws are closer than blood relatives; some are the peripheral members that hold back comments at the holiday table lol. Either way, I'm old school where I would expect my blood relations to be the pitbulls; or at least rally around the personalities that tend to be the pitbulls, even if they are the in-laws. I don't get the sense everyone's on the same page in Cheryl's family.

I am quite surprised that the oldest daughter, who has a different father, has not been the lead pitbull. She was outspoken early on. I can't pull up anything lately on her involvement, but perhaps she'll be active in this upcoming search, or at least lead the press about it. God I hope so...Cheryl needs someone who knows and adores her speaking out for her.

I don't think the value in the family being vocal is about "finding Cheryl", as much as it is about sharing and digging and rehashing everything ad nauseum so that something will spark a tidbit that is enough to prosecute the bad guy. I think the silence may be embarrassment over a lifestyle that William and GF discussed graphically in their affidavits. Do they want this ****show to happen to get a conviction, even though it may be at the expense of a family's reputation or Cheryl's legacy? I'm speculating of course. But that's all we've got when everything's at a standstill.

I'd revisit so many people. Husband & GF will never do another interview with LE without counsel. But I'd be extensively re-interviewing the trio at work that she was texting about her divorce serving. Interviewing the close girlfriend that was sharing all the social media she was receiving about controlling personalities (FB group). I'd be re-interviewing bartenders at her favorite watering holes per family member, and doing more extensive interviews with Cheryl's dates and revisiting some of William's co-workers. One more day of neighbor interviews for sure.

Your insight is right on, I have been following the in-laws comments, and as I see it , she’s the only family member Cheryl has fighting for her,so sad, very sad..

If it was me, first we wouldn’t be at this juncture at this point, but since we are, the first anniversary coming up the in-law needs to set the ground rules for the second , since they did such a bang up job during the first year...

In my family the ones who were objecting to my dad pushing the prosecution, had bright yellow streaks down their backs, I remember my dad who was the family patriot arch called a meeting of all family members, I remeber that day clearly , he was like Gen Patten, he didnt ask , he told them what we are going to do, and I remember what he said also if you can’t stomach the long haul leave now, but he had an objective and he wasn’t going to let them stand in our way, well some left, and as of today still won’t speak to me, but I really don’t give a damn.....

If it wasn’t for my dad, myself Det Delaney, her case would have never been solved, the dirtbag that killed my moms aunt was responsible for another murder and many violent assaults, but now he’s a permanent guest at Attica Correctional....my dad a I paid him a visit in prison and we spoke out our anger and left, it felt good....

So in Cheryl’s in-law defense, she needs to set the direction very clearly for the second year, if she doesn’t, it will eat from the inside out, been there...

Did she ever think the others are afraid to ask for help as spokesman

And if they are embarrassed of the open marriage details, it’s a mute point now...

I hope they have a big mouths for the second year, suggestion, make up a thousand flyers, stand outside the Kroger store and speak to everyone customer for a few days coming and going, they might be surprised....

Revisit every home or business that day when the blackhoodie incident, as a family, make it personal

Go on TV as a family plead for public’s help, be highly visible...

They wasted one year, let’s not repeat it on year two...

I noticed on Equusearch's facebook page, they aren't saying the searchers will have to stay out until a specific time. Hopefully there'll be more volunteers if they don't have to search for 8 hours straight. Maybe hubby and I can help this time.

Not actually sure this search is going to find anything, unless new evidence was submitted, it seems like a waste of time, with the severe weather we’ve had, hot summer, and animals, this search seems to be to mark the anniversary......

First they have to 100% rule out she’s not alive living elsewhere, second if she is deceased, whoever did this disposed of her out of state.....

And if our suspect did it, he is too confident they will never find her around here, ....

WHIO news item police investigating after bones reportedly found on Trotwood property,
Police responded to North a Union Rd in Trotwood, no further words..

Trotwood is a small city just north of Dayton, probably a 5 mile drive from Riverside .....note Trotwood also was hit hard during Tornados that occurred in May....there still cleaning up.....

Bones found on property in Trotwood
The report of the bones was made at around 12:40 pm on North Union Road in Trotwood. A person working on the the property reported finding the bones.

It is unknown what type of bones were found.

The bones turned out to be animal.....

If Cheryl is determined to be deceased, did anyone ever think she was disposed of in a septic tank?

Unless something big breaks out in this case, by law enforcement or the family getting out of the backseat and get in the drivers seat, this case is closed..

I went shopping at that Kroger store this am, the same where her SUV was abandoned and the suspect showed up on camera, the bulletin board by the exit door has Cheryl’s missing persons poster, ( if you want to call it that, all it is a 8 1/2 by 11 inch piece of paper, and now it’s completely overshadowed by a poster, rather large of the Beavercreek High School girls soccer team, the poster consumes a majority of the board, but exiting the store all you see is the school poster, just because of the size....

Public interest in this case is quickly fading, so what I mentioned in my first paragraph doesn’t happen quickly , the flame of interest will burnout.......

And if and when this happens it’s completely a shared fault between the family and law enforcement, .........shame on them.....

I get the feeling that the family is embarrassed by family dirt, and the police would rather investigate car accidents, easier to solve.......

Reviewing our posts and that one above about a family member joining us as a verified insider, I think we have a better chance of hell freezing over......

I think there is a deep family embarrassment over this so called open marriage issue mentioned, they would rather circle the wagons, then be vocal.......

We all see other missing persons cases, this is the first for me....

I am so frustrated right now, I almost drove off the road on the way home from the Kroger store tonight. , when you have to deal with the brainless and stupid...

I went to the store to get milk, upon entering the store I always look at the bulletin board, and Cheryl’s missing persons poster, which is in lower left hand corner,

Still partially covered by the Beavercreek Girls Scoccer Team, ( which puzzles me should be Riverside school events), then someone thumbtacked a poster for a Hispanic Festival right over her poster..

I asked the cashier, about the board and why the disrespect for a local missing resident,

First off she stated the store has no control of the board, second and this spun my head, ....she stated she heard the missing woman was found a few months ago...I asked her what planet she’s been on, and I asked her to educate and engage her brain before you say something like that..

I am contacting Kroger Corporate tommorrow morning, they need to inform their cashiers, if asked a question like that, unless you have the facts, don’t say what I heard tonight,

We are having a problem keeping the public’s interest in this case, and if someone makes a comment like this spreads thru the town , and misinformation is the most horrible gossip out there...

I called Kroger Corporate this am, I spoke with a department head, trying to explain to this individual that having a cashier speak so unintelligently about a highly sensitive subject, spreading falsehoods, that since these cashiers deal with the public directly, that the appropriate responses should be “no comment” concerning issues of this content, so rumors and false gossip does not spread, we are dealing with someone’s life , not a discussion about a garage sale...

Well, dealing with this department head was unbelievable, I probably could have gotten through if I spoke with a grapefruit, OMG, well that was a phone call that wasted 17 minutes of my life, that I will never get back.....

I'm sorry you had to deal with this. Unfortunately, you can't control what cashiers may say. But informing her of Cheryl's still missing status may give her pause in the future. I'm more disturbed by posters sticking stuff over hers. But then again, nothing really surprises me anymore. I don't think anyone's really looking for her anyway. Maybe Cheryl's posting should be super graphic at this point, depicting what a year-old discarded body may look like and be on the look-out while you walk your dogs. Nobody would be pinning their posters over that I bet. Praying the upcoming searchers find her.

I totally understand how frustrated you may be, but keep in mind, there have been many missing folks this spring and summer found in the river not too far away from there. The cashier may have thought that one of them was Cheryl. You know how rumors start- maybe someone said something like "bones were found at such and such, I think they're Cheryl's, the lady that's been missing", and just like the old "telephone game" that we used to play as kids in the neighborhood or at school- when spread around, the story changes several times, and what was said in the beginning is completely different by the time the last kid in the class heard it.

Bones found on Trotwood property believed to belong to animal
Police believe the bones found on the property on North Union Road belong to a dead animal.

“They are not consistent with human remains,” Trotwood Police Chief Erik Wilson said.
This makes me hurt so much for Cheryl's family and friends. Like many families that have missing people that we discuss here- the pins and needles, the waiting game, the hope dashed only to be reinstated that they still might be alive after finding out it wasn't their loved ones bones- it is an endless loop of torture and grief. For some families, this can go on for years.

We had a deadly incident right outside my home on Airway Rd last night around 11:00pm, my home is directly next to the road, I was sleeping when the loudest sound I have ever heard since the tornados, I ran outside and a head on crash between two cars then three others,

I was out by the mangled cars, and it was a bloody carnage , there was nothing myself or other neighbors could do but to talk to the victims , the cars were so badly damaged, to get them out, it’s a scary scene when you are there before First Responders, I have never seen so many emergency vehicles responding to an accident like this

One man died, two critical, two with minor injuries, five cars involved...

It’s a awlful feeling to see face to face people this badly hurt, and can’t help them other than encourage them to hang on, that image is burned in my head...

Sorry, for the off track subject, what a night....

I got thinking this morning when I was watering our flowers, and glancing over to all the investigative marks in the roadway, that a man lost his life at that point just 50 feet from where I was standing, really makes you sad, I have been exposed to a lot of death in my lifetime, and it bothers me..

That’s why I cannot understand in Cheryl’s case, if the suspect murdered her in the home, are her other family members, the daughter , etc, are that stoned cold lacking of emotions, about carrying on life in that home like nothing has happened even though a wife, mother, a persons life was taken......

What’s happened to our society today?
