What makes for a pill mills? i know what it is but why did/does Ohio have them but Kentucky does not?
I know Florida is big for them as well.

Is it different state laws that make it easier for these 'pain clinics' to open?

In Canada they have really cracked down (thank god) on the clinics pushing out pain pills, we have a national registry now so all narcotic prescriptions are tracked, no more double doctoring...

It smells like burning rubber but so does Cincinnati. I work 1 hour and 20 minutes away. It was a ghost town. I didn't even see news vans unless they were in the restricted area. I couldn't really park either.

It is my understanding that in Kentucky there is a statewide registry that tracks all prescriptions if you get a prescription filled anywhere in Kentucky.

I believe this is the reason why folks from Kentucky were going to Ohio to visit pill mills.

I don’t think Ohio currently has a statewide registry for prescriptions that is similar to what they have in Kentucky.

The Ohio Automated Rx Reporting System requires doctors and pharmacists who dispense prescription opioids or the drug tramadol to report those prescriptions weekly to the state Board of Pharmacy. That information can be accessed by doctors and pharmacists to monitor potential drug interactions and identify signs of potential drug abuse.
 
A lot of of my clients doctor shop in different counties and that tends to slow down anyone catching on. But they do. And they end up at my rehab. A lot of people also sell their prescriptions from pain clinics at a high cost and then do herion because it is much cheaper.

Maybe the locals can help me out here -- are the places where the bodies were found the kind of places where people go, so you'd expect someone to stumble across the remains sooner or later? Or are they remote?
 
Maybe a certain type of person would go there. But definitely not alert authorities.

You'd be surprised how many people have come on our property (uninvited) to hike, hunt, fish, mushroom or ginseng hunt, set traps, scout deer trails, pick berries etc. People in this area love the outdoors and some of them might go to those spots innocently but others use them for illegal activity.

I think whoever disposed of these women knew they would eventually be found but they are remote areas.

that break-in can't be coincidence--But why an ex?-Were they looking for drugs?cash? something else, some type of evidence that could be used to blackmail someone?--or is it a random break-in, just happening to be an ex? --what a case--first, it looks like it's all tied to the same circle of girls, then it looks like it's tied to interstate(KY), or at least another city(Portsmouth), then it looks like it's back to the same circle again--As they say, go with the original thought---The killer is on the inside of most of these girls' lives somehow, at the very least, the outer fringe---That break-in had to be tied..Were they holding something? Did they all owe? Did they all know something as a result of the line of work they were involved like a sex/drug trafficking ring, and someone was threatening to expose it? Did one or more witness something, and now it is being cleaned up?--Smells more and more like the Jennings case as far as the type of scenario playing out----
 
Sayre's body was found in a white cloth--did it match what is used at the hotel where she was said to have gone earlier, then was going to go back that night to party with a group of men? they allegedly cleared these guys(not from the area, but there to work), but how many times have cleared people, or people not deemed a suspect come back to be the perpetrator---what type of company did these guys work for?
 
Ok so I've been thinking about how many people come to the area for hunting, trapping and fishing. Some have cabins and others stay in motels or campers while they're here. Those with cabins usually hunt/trap/fish on their own land but those who stay at motels or in campers pretty much focus on public areas. Then I thought about deer and turkey seasons. At first I thought this had to be someone local for them to be familiar with these out of the way places but hunters and fishermen could be familiar with these spots as well. If it were someone who comes here to hunt and fish but lives out of the area, they only had to hope the bodies wouldn't be found until after they were back home. Maybe this isn't really connected to drugs but the opportunity to meet these girls at the motels :thinking:
