After a year of secrecy surrounding a case handled by the Chillicothe Police Department, new information is beginning to surface. The events unfolded on Thursday, April 14, 2022, when authorities responded to a report of human remains discovered in a wooded area behind Hobby Lobby on Bridge Street in Chillicothe. Notably, the area is recognized as a homeless encampment.

Law enforcement officials have kept a tight-lipped approach, refraining from disclosing specific details. However, recent revelations from sources close to the deceased individual have shed light on her identity. The woman has been identified as 40-year-old Brandi Nicole Sutton, originally from Washington Court House.

Looks like it, and from my understanding it's the family that released her name, not LE.
Interesting. Wonder why LE was withholding the name. RIP Brandi.

Brandi was my cousin. I was born and raised in Washington Courthouse, but have also lived in Chillicothe. Brandi had her demons. Battled addiction most of her teenage and adult life. She wasn’t perfect. Hell, none of us are. But she was a beautiful person inside and out. Especially when she was clean . And didn’t deserve to murdered and disposed of in such a gruesome, heartless, and inhumane manner. Despite her flaws she has tons of friends and family who love and miss her dearly. We weren’t extremely close as we grew older. But spent lots of time hanging out as teenagers. She wasn’t considered or reported missing right away because unfortunately with her addiction problem it wasn’t uncommon for her to take off for days or weeks at a time. Sadly with cases like hers they don’t get investigated and/or solved nearly quickly as others because in the eyes of many in positions of authority ie investigators and the PD “it’s just another dead homeless drug addict. What’s the term they use to describe common victims of serial killers? “The Less Dead”? Meaning victims who aren’t missed or reported missing by nearly as quickly as ot types of victims. I think the same applies to other homeless drug addicts murder victims as well regardless if they were killed by a serial killer or not.

So sorry for your loss @jessie06 and you too @JeremyG85. Addiction and/or homelessness should never be a reason for LE to neglect their duty or do their due diligence. Sadly reality proves different.

Rest peacefully now Brandi. May justice come swift.

I feel so sorry for your loss. May your sister rest in piece.
Thank you. It's a sad thought that this man is only facing 48 months but is something at least

Thank you everyone for all of your support. We all need to stand up for Brandi. They can't prove that this guy killed her bc there was so much of her body burned not much was left. But why would you take someone 40 minutes from the scene if you didn't kill them. This man needs life in prison. I will never give up on Brandi. Drugs held her down. But she didn't deserve to be burned. Myself and her kids could not even say goodbye
