Coroner: Woman found dismembered in North Fairmount identified

The Hamilton County Coroner said Friday she has identified the dismembered remains of a woman first discovered in North Fairmount late last year.

The Hamilton County Coroner's Office has identified a Cincinnati-area woman whose dismembered remains were first discovered in North Fairmount late last year.

Hamilton County Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco said investigators were able to identify the woman as 25-year-old Makaila Luckey after a family member living out of state responded in February to a Cincinnati police Facebook post.

Makaila Luckey's torso was discovered on Nov. 5, and two months later, as Cincinnati police and FBI agents were conducting a search of the surrounding area, officials discovered more remains.
