Cincinnati Police ID officer found dead in Eden Park. Nature of death remains in question

The Cincinnati officer found dead Thursday afternoon near Eden Park has been identified by the police department where he worked for the past 28 years.

Sgt. Arthur T. Schultz's body was located by his fellow officers in a vehicle at 2084 Eden Park Drive, officials said.

Isaac said the officer worked on a plainclothes assignment and was not in uniform at the time of his death. He was in the vice unit since December of 2000, Isaac said.

Cincinnati officer found dead 'will be tremendously missed'

Hamilton County coroner Lakshmi Sammarco described the death as unnatural and said an investigation would determine whether it was homicide or suicide.

Coroner: Officer found dead in Eden Park died of self-inflicted gunshot wound

The veteran Cincinnati police officer who was found dead in Eden Park on Thursday appears to have committed suicide, according to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.

Sgt. Arthur Schultz's preliminary autopsy findings indicate a single gunshot wound to the head and neck area that appears to be self-inflicted, coroner's office representatives said.
