No mention of a child. I don't think the cases are related.

Boy identified as a local boy named Eliazar.

"Family members confirm the little boy's name is Eliazar. They also shared photos of the little boy.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office says as of yet there is no information they can release on the matter or official identification.

After several weeks, we finally have an update in the case.

Sources confirm to WKYC that the boy has been identified, and his first name is Eliazar.

The case stretches back to Sept. 20, where the remains were found in the backyard of a vacant home on Longmead Avenue.

The boy's grandmother, Dawn Battle, told News 5 on Wednesday that she last saw him on July 4, 2016. She said the boy's mother, 25-year-old Ashley Makuhan, gave the boy to his godmother when she went to jail in 2016. Then, last January, the godmother was arrested and sent to jail.

It's unclear what happened to the boy after that.
Battle said her daughter saw the boy's sketch on the news while she was in jail and called police to tell them it was her son.
According to Cuyahoga County court records, Makuhan was arrested on drug charges on July 19, 2017. She posted bail on Tuesday. Prior to the July arrest, court records show Makuhan had been in and out of jail since March 2015 on various drug charges.
