OH - Columbus Police need your help: 15 murders

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ohio law enforcement is asking for help to solve 15 homicides that they say all share a common thread.

The U.S. attorney's office says the 15 murders span 16 years, from 1998 to the summer of 2013.

Investigators are keeping a tight lip about how the murders are connected, but the plea for help comes just two months after the same authorities launched a manhunt for 21-accused members of the Short North Posse, who they say operated a multi-million dollar drug enterprise.

On Monday, Patterson, 25, testified in federal court in Columbus that he had witnessed at least two murders by members of the Short North Posse's so-called Homicide Squad. It was the first such eyewitness account by a former gang member and came in the fourth week of testimony in what's expected to be a 10- to 11-week trial.
