Found Deceased OH - Cory Barron, 22, Cleveland, 18 July 2014

They need to get their ***** straight. 19 says black and 5 says white. I'm sure we'll know for sure by tonight hopefully. My heart goes out to his family, regardless.

They can't get their stories straight on ANYTHING!

This says:

It's reported that Barron left his seat to buy a drink and never returned.

Ok, so he left to buy a drink.

This says:

His grandfather tells our partners at WTAM 1100 that Cory ran into a friend from Bowling Green -- and after the two talked over a beer he was supposed to go back to his seat. That never happened either.

Nope.

Now he went to meet A (singular) friend AND to get a drink.

(Also note "two" talked - reinforcing it was one person. PLUS they were getting drinks and NOT just sitting in another seat in another section with the friend plus a beer)

This says:

He said Barron went to the show with family and friends, and at one point left his section to visit with people in another section. No one heard from him after that.

Nope.

Now he went TO another section (so not a drink place, but rather other seats).

AND he actually went TO VISIT (not go buy a drink).

AND it was PEOPLE (not A friend).

To make it even more odd, the first two are actually from the same station.

Plus, I'm not even sure if they know who the friend(s) were (or at least earlier things sounded that way)

I can't find it (so maybe it was edited out?) but I thought they only knew he was going to visit someone(s) but not identities.

But now the grandpa specifically stated he was not only going to meet A (singular) friend, but that it was someone he ran into AND that the friend was from Bowling Green. Since grandpa wasn't there, SOMEONE knew who the friend is in order to at least have told grandpa where the friend was from.

Yet I've not seen anything saying that they've questioned the person(s) have they?

Plus this says they've questioned all his known friends and don't know anyone else to ask, basically.

Barron did not have any family or friends in the Cleveland area that investigators knew of. All of Barron’s known friends in other areas had already been contacted and claimed to have no knowledge of his whereabouts.

I don't know...

It's all very strange if you ask me! And I don't see it ending well.

THE one way I could see it ending ok is if he had some other clothes either with him personally or with the person he may have or may not have been meeting (since it doesn't even seem completely conclusive he was meeting anyone, but possibly just getting a drink)

If he'd wanted to just leave/walk away, ditching (or changing out of) the very recognizable outfit he had on would make it VERY easy for him to leave the concert and have no one one realize it on the cameras (or even eyewitnesses) since they'd have been looking for the wrong clothes.

And if they really had talked to any people he may or may not have been meeting, if he just up and walked away from his life, if they only had been asked if they knew his whereabouts or when they last saw him, they could possibly be able to honestly say they didn't know where he was and that they last saw him leaving the area...because if he left alone, they may truly not know.

Though obviously that'd mean no one would have copped to carrying clothes for him to change into (and some might say they "just" didn't "offer" that piece of information up) as it seems unlikely something LE would have asked outright, some may think that wasn't being dishonest. (NOT that I agree with it, but I have no doubt some would rationalize that way)

Heck, if something bad happened to him or he was 'taken' against his will (not sure I see how that could at all be possible) I suppose someone could have forced him into other clothes and accomplished the same thing - him not being seen leaving as no one would be looking for other clothing. Again, I think that's unlikely b/c it was way too crowded for that to seem even remotely feasible, but...I guess it's another option. Just not another likely 'happy ending' possibility like the above.

According to the person sitting next to him originally, he was pretty drunk and his siblings were concerned about him falling over the railing since they were in the front row. So either they took him or he went to sit with some other friends who were in not so dangerous seats. At some point during that time, he got up to get a beer, ran into a friend from BG while getting the beer, chatted with that friend for a bit, and then never made it back to his seat.

If he were in a position to reach out, he definitely would have reached out to his family by now. They are a really close-knit family, and he definitely would have contacted them if he had been able to. That's what worries me.

if he was drunk enough so that they were concerned about him, maybe he was escorted out while walking around on his own after leaving the second group of friends - although you would hope that detail would have been uncovered by now.

but if that were the case then i see water 400'ish(?) meters west of the field and i dont like it one bit...

I always feel conflicted by saying this, as it was SOMEONE. But, thank goodness. I'm worried for this guy. He does not look like someone who would leave his life. Where is he?? If I said, "Oh, please be careful at the concert tonight. Please don't disappear," you'd think me to be nuts. You know? What are the odds of disappearing at a music performance? I pray this has a positive outcome.

My concern always doubles when I read people were intoxicated. Past experience tells me when someone is intoxicated during an event/night out and they disappear but still haven't been heard from several days later.. it's not going to be a happy ending. Sorry to be blunt, but unless something was wrong he would've turned up by now (after staying over at a different friend's house or something).

I read a couple comments yesterday underneath an article from one of the news stations where someone said he was kicked out of the venue for intoxication. I have no link to back this up or who knows how reliable the source was. If that were the case, wouldn't the security guards remember or wouldn't this be on the cameras? I wish we could hear more from the friend who he went to go hang out with at the venue!

I can not get that link to open and you just posted it. It is just me?

ETA: GOT IT!

ETA2: the article states exactly what Jillybean posted, nothing else at this point.

I was just about to post that. Since it has been 4 days, it wouldn't be a stretch for someone to transport his body here. However there are no details yet so there's a good chance the remains are someone else. I feel so bad for his family. Everytime they hear a new body found they must be hurting so bad. :(

Someone has to know something!!

I wonder what all dumps into that landfill. Would dumpsters from the city be unloaded down there?

That landfill is on the route back to Fremont where he is from. I hope he didn't hitch a ride home with someone and something bad happened.
