I feel he could be hispanic, but even then no good matches with any missing persons.
This one really bugs me. A supposedly good photo/reconstruction, body recovered on the same day, it looks like he’s local… But nothing yet.

There is one exclusion:

MP112356 Steve Benkovits 04/07/2023 Cuyahoga OH

My sister-in-law's first husband died in similar circumstances. Walking home drunk on a cold night, tripped on the tracks, might have passed out there or might have meant to.

This article contains postmortem photos

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -For 10 months, the identity of a young man hit by a train in a Cleveland suburb has remained a mystery.

Somewhere out there, a family is looking for answers.

We first told you about Cuyahoga County’s most recent John Doe case earlier this year in our series Unidentified.

19 Investigates learned there could be new hope for the case thanks to DNA and genealogy.

The article says, they think he may have been homeless, why do they think so? It is such a tragic case, he was so young

His NamUs page is back up!

ETA: I don't know when this was added but there is now an estimated age of 16-30. His height was revised to 5'7" too.

Bumping case up. He's still fairly high up on the Dashboard. Hopefully he is very close to being identified. He is so young and must have relatives wondering where he is and how he's doing.

Unfortunately, the DDP have not updated their website for a few months. Not sure what is the reason

The DNA Doe Project team began working on the case of Brooklyn Tracks John Doe in July 2024. Recent East European ancestry complicated the investigative genetic genealogy research as people from this background are underrepresented in databases used for law enforcement cases. His highest DNA match, who turned out to be a 5th cousin, shared just 45cM of DNA with him. Nevertheless, the team of experts worked tirelessly on this case and were able to identify several of his ancestors.

In April 2025, while research was ongoing, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted by someone who believed that the unidentified man was his missing brother, Nathaniel Dabrowski. Shortly afterwards, hospital imaging confirmed that this missing man was indeed Brooklyn Tracks John Doe.

I'm glad that this ended up being solved fairly quickly

“He lived actually not far from the location he was found, but he was somewhat transient and I think that led to him not necessarily being missing to some folks because he kind of came and went to some extent,” said Dr. Thomas Gilson, the Cuyahoga County medical examiner.
