Ok, so I have zero evidence and it’s basically just a thought.

But, Ariel Castro was 21 at this time. How far is Toledo from where he lived and could he have been in the area at the time?
I seriously doubt it was him he was in Cleveland OH, I was born and practically raised in Toledo which is an hour away, And knowing the nature of Ariel he liked to lie low he put on the guise of a school bus driver and neighborhood man if he had done this it would have been out of his M.O. not to mention if she was working anywhere close to anything legal well ariel would have avoided that to a t

On August 4, 1981, JOSE C. RODRIGUEZ, JR., RICHARD NELLER, and other persons known to the Grand Jury but not indicted herein, abducted and murdered Cynthia Anderson, RICHARD NELLER'S legal secretary, because she had overheard conversations wherein JOSE C. RODRIGUEZ, JR. and RICHARD NELLER had discussed armed robberies and their expanding drug business.

This case is so strange from the panic button installed at work but not used, the book opened to a strange page, and Cindy herself being afraid. I can't help but wonder if she met foul play or organized this herself to start over somewhere...
It seems a lawyer at her firm was involved in drug trafficking with a man Jose Rodriguez Jr. it’s interesting this news clipping is the most honest straightforward update about the case. The media never seemed to report on the drug trafficking angle of this case but if you look back through all their court cases it’s very obvious she was killed by Jose Rodriguez Jr. In one of the court documents Jose Rodriguez Sr offers to tell police where Cynthia’s body is if they let his son Jose Rodriguez Jr out of prison. All 3 Jose Rodriguez’s Sr, Jr and III are all in prison for drugs trafficking. It wasn’t until 14 years after Cynthia went missing that the lawyer and Jose Rodriguez Jr were indicted? Am I reading this stuff correctly?

The 6th Circuit Court of Appeals has rejected the appeals of a former Toledo attorney and three co-defendants who sought the rejection of their November, 1996, convictions for involvement in a long-time drug conspiracy.

Among the issues on appeal was the inclusion in the government's case of allegations of involvement by then-attorney Richard Neller and co-defendant Jose Rodriguez, Jr., in the disappearance in 1981 of Cynthia Anderson, then an employee at Neller's law firm.

Although witnesses testified to that effect, U.S. District Judge John Potter found that the evidence was insufficient to conclude that the young woman had been abducted and murdered or that the defendants were responsible for her disappearance.
