“Danny’s case hasn’t gotten any attention for a long time,” said Danielle Allen, the organizer of a Facebook page dedicated to finding justice for Danny Violette.

Danny was 17 when he was last seen alive on Oct. 24, 1998. His body was found 11 days later, on Nov. 4, in a cornfield just north of Willard.

His cause of death was asphyxiation and his body was found with ligature marks around the neck, according to the page “Justice for Danny Violette.” There was nothing around his neck when he was found and his body was moved after his death. Contents from his wallet were ripped up and tire tracks were across his shirtless chest.''

Shares some semblance to the current case of Noah Presgrove in Jefferson County, Oklahoma. I pray his case doesn't end up cold like Danny's has.

'According to the autopsy report from the Lucas County coroner, Danny died from asphyxiation. He had post-mortem abrasions that showed his body had been moved, patterns across his chest resembling a tire tread and ligature marks around his neck.''

Today marks 26 years since 17-year-old Danny Violette went missing, and his family still wants to know how he ended up dead in a Huron County cornfield. Drew Violette last saw his brother Danny on Oct. 24, 1998.

My heart goes out to Danny's family.

I don't understand this:
Since 1998, Danny’s manner of death has been listed as unknown. Meaning it has not been ruled a homicide, suicide or accidental.

It was obviously not suicide nor an accident, IMO.

'A group of teenagers, mostly high school students, watched and listened carefully as they were shown a video of a detective questioning a suspect as part of a murder investigation from 1998.'

“If they need help, we’re here to help them look at these cases that have been maybe sitting on shelves for 20 years,” Mr. Curtis said. “They just don’t have the time, money, resources, staff, to look at them. I’ve been going through the state and meeting with these, either elected sheriffs or chiefs. ... We try to pull cases that these agencies will give us.”

'The third is to possibly provide closure to families, in this case, to the family of Danny Violette, a 17-year-old high school student who was found dead in a cornfield in Willard, Ohio, more than 20 years ago.
The cause of his death was listed as undetermined by the coroner though there were ligature marks on his neck, suggesting he died by asphyxiation.'

“Living for decades with only your imagination of what happened that night, it's like a nightmare. So, I think if we could really provide them some form of closure that would be amazing,” said Family Friend, Danielle Allen.

I first told you about 17-year-old Danny Violette last October, a case from 1998 that remains unsolved.''

Culpable is also offering a $10,000 reward for information about Danny’s death.

“When you hit a wall and feel like people aren't speaking or you're just not getting any new information, it doesn't hurt to offer a reward because someone out there might need that, might be holding on to some information that could help in the grand scheme of things,” said Cooper.''

So now, if we're able to put all the true facts out there, maybe somebody will remember and say that was weird maybe it could help,” said Allen.

''And with the help of social media, the family has learned more about Danny’s case in the last year than they had in the last 26 years and was able to raise enough money for advanced forensic DNA testing.''
