44-year-old David Timothy Ruiz went missing Monday, January 14. Ruiz is the clinical education coordinator and instructor of athletic training. He was last seen Monday in the 1000 block of Market Avenue in Canton. Police and the University are concerned about his well-being.

Although the odds seem against Mr. Ruiz being found safe, there is always hope.

I hope so too. My husband has a business trip to Akron/Canton next week. If David has not been located by that time, I will print off some missing flyers for him to share with his colleagues at his company's factory there.

Missing Man Found Dead | News-Talk 1480 WHBC

Police say the body of David Timothy Ruiz was found in a junk car in a private lot in the 900 block of Market Avenue South at around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Stark County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and declared the 44-year-old to be deceased.

He died from an apparent gunshot wound to the head.
