This is copied and pasted from article, confusing statement, what's that about a school??

"We all thought it had to be someone close to them, because who would ever thought go up to the school and do this to an elderly couple,” said William Longacre from Strasburg.
I have no idea what they are referring to about a school. There has been no mention anywhere about any school.

From the article:

Clark worked for less than two months at Green Acres before he was fired in October after attempting to make an unauthorized purchase at an area auto parts store.

The Elliott brothers said Clark never worked at Green Acres with Stewart, who visited the company last month looking for employment.

The Elliotts said Stewart spent minimal time — 10 to 12 hours over a four-week period — helping a company mechanic lift heavy objects and work on company vehicles.

This is totally my own supposition, but on down in the article it says that Doyle Chumney's only transaction with Green Acres Lawn Care was when he had the gas line on a mower fixed. I wonder if Stewart was sent to return the mower and that was the "prior delivery" that police have said was the only link between the perps and the Chumneys?

Well, QUITE OBVIOUSLY, but this Clark dude is a Con (among other things) and an ex one at that, LOL, he told the Green Acres landscaping co he was a minister and showed his certificate (orwhatever) on about the 5th time after several applications for a job in which he was turned down by green acres LS Co, due to his criminal history

Then after a few months Clark was fired for tyring to make unauthorized purchases (guessing thru the green aacres landscape)

Green acres owners are christians and quite involved in the church they say

WOW, I hate when people use religion that way

These people were elderly, established, had rental properties, land, income, and they obviously had enough money to pay the taxes and sustain all of it.

Word of them having a safe in the house could have been passed down between laborers who had worked there previously, and the thugs that eventually did the home invasion.

To a murdering thief, intelligence info. like that is priceless. As we all know, it doesn't mean jack-**it as to whether or not these people had a cache of money and valuables in the house. But to these types of brainless insects, that information is priceless. Minimum wage laborers talk, and some of them talk a lot and try to make themselves appear a lot more important than they really are. If one of them was in the house at some point in time, and saw a safe in the corner of the closet, then that could be the source for this entire caper.

As is the case with most of these lower-than-worm-dirt types, they were hoping for an easy payday. That didn't happen, and the Chumney's were killed because of it....... "mistaken assumption"

Personally, I hope when they catch up with Clark, they either shoot him with a silver bullet, or drive a stake through his heart, either way is okay with me. The worst thing that can happen is for him to go on trial and start complaining about how his Daddy spanked him too much and how his Mother forced him to go to church. I hope LE saves all of us the anxiety and absurdity of a trial.

Snipped By Me...

"Then, 911 operators received another call from someone who claimed to have spotted the vehicle near Central High School.

A lockdown of all St Joseph schools was ordered while police investigated, but was lifted lifted at about 10 a.m., when police decided there was no credible threat."

Actually, he (Clark) most likely got the job because his sister's husband is a supervisor there....they don't mention this in the article and I really can't say more as I don't want to 'sleuth' on family members. His sister and her husband have both been very vocal on FB condemning his actions.

As I am reading and hearing this on the news I feel as if the Owner of the Lawn Care business is definitely trying to distance himself from this story completely! To have a two current/former employees as well as Clark's brother-in-law (Brother-in-law has NOT been implicated in anything) working for for his Company he is getting a lot of negative feedback from people.

This article/video from early this morning says Clark's photo is now up on billboards. Glad to hear that.

Ohio double murder suspect may be in Georgia

...After the West Virginia robbery, authorities said they robbed a convenience store in Anderson, S.C., and another one in Donalsonville, Ga., on Sunday. The FBI said their path would have led them across Georgia, and they are concerned they still might be in the state.

"All indications are they had to really come through metro Atlanta," FBI Special Agent Stephen Emmett said. "We want anyone that may have had contact with these three individuals to reach out and contact law enforcement."...

...The FBI has put Clark's picture on billboards across the country. ...

Thanks for clearing that up. I was not even thinking about the St Joseph school incident since it was disregarded & had no connection to them

I remember some time ago, there was mention of the green van being seen in an Aldi car park with Doyle Chumney. Does anyone know if that was substantiated, or was it a false lead? I wondered if that was something to do with the "delivery". I thought it odd they won't release any details of the "delivery".

Yes, I read that too. I think it's unfortunate that they would have to be worried about the reputation of their business. It just goes to show how easily people can jump to conclusions.

I notice that no female is mentioned in accounts of the Anderson, SC robbery. I wonder where Hazel was? Can't help but think it is possible she has come to a bad end.

...Additionally on February 1, 2015, at 2:21 am, Clark and an unknown male allegedly robbed a convenience store in Anderson, South Carolina....

http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/murders/robert-roy-clark/view

ETA: Guess not, though, as the GA robbery was after the SC one, right? And the poster goes on to state that a female was involved in that one. Sorry!

...At 9:26 pm, the Donalsonville, Georgia Police Department reported that Clark, another male, and a female allegedly committed armed robbery at a gas station in Donalsonville...

wondering where people like this hide out.........small town? too few people so will be noticed more easily but more land and space to avoid people OR big city, blend in, but there are MORE people apt to notice them

I was shopping today, had my eyes peeled everywhere I went, I'm a little below middle ga and a little paranoid :scared:

and they didn't necessarily have to go RIGHT THRU ATL, already posted this once

The Kentucky one seems to be another false alarm. Sometime during the night they took the story off.

So the last place they were officially spotted is still in Donalsonville, Georgia.

Thanks rosie_lee, it gets confusing trying to keep up!

when they left donallsonville, it was reported they went west, nothing to say they didnt' back track or even that they didn't go into AL then north and back into GA, why do authorities think they are still in GA I wonder. I'd think they'd keep going west unless they are trying to find a way to get to her family in FL but wouldn't they turn them in?? Why would that be safe? especially now with billboards everywhere.......... Just some thoughts

BBM. Ironically, Last week, my fiancé and I were at Costco when he spotted this safe at a good price. He suggested we buy it. I said, no way in hell. Someone idiot might see it and think we have something worth killing us over. I've seen this scenario too many times at WS.

That said, I send my thoughts and prayers to all those who lost Mr. and Mrs. Chumney.
