CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Police are looking for two men who have been missing since Feb. 10, according to police.

The men, 44-year-old Elce Malik-Bey and 45-year-old Raymond Lumpkin were reported missing by their family members when they did not return from fishing at the East 55th Street Marina Friday night, police said.

The car that they were thought to be traveling in was located at the Marina by Metroparks Police.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Cleveland Police at 216-621-1234.


According to police officials, the men left a family gathering to go fishing, but did not return.

Cleveland police said Cleveland Metroparks police found their vehicle at the East 55th Street Marina. The U.S. Coast Guard helped in the search of the area, but the men have not been found.

I don't know anything about two names, but were they going ice fishing? That could be a problem with this mild winter. Three people died in Vermont since Thursday when they fell through the ice trying to fish.

The vehicle they were traveling in was found at the marina by Metroparks police officers on Friday night.

Family members told 19 News the key was in the ignition, the car was running, both men’s cell phones were inside, and their fishing poles were found near the water.

Cleveland police and the United States Coast Guard searched the marina, but the men were not found.

Anyone with information is asked to call Cleveland police at 216-621-1234.

The website for the marina shows it's "temporarily closed". Is that due to a search or was it closed for other reasons before they went missing?

I don't know anything about two names, but were they going ice fishing? That could be a problem with this mild winter. Three people died in Vermont since Thursday when they fell through the ice trying to fish.
It's been unseasonably warm in the Midwest, so I don't think there's any ice to fish off of.

Police said the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office will officially identify the two bodies found Monday.

I wonder if one man fell in and the other drowned trying to save the first? That's the most plausible explanation I can come up with, unless they were accosted at the marina.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The bodies of the two men found in Lake Erie, off the East 55th Street Marina, have been identified as the men who went missing after leaving a family gathering.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victims as Elce Malik-Bey, 44, (who officially changed his name from Andre Thomas), and Raymond Lumpkin, 45. Their cause of death remains under investigation.

That's the only thing I can think of also. I wonder with respect to the car running that one of the men was listening to the radio, having a cig break, charging his phone, you name it and witnessed the other fall and then jumped out of the car in a rush to save him. MOO
