They were waiting for the autopsy to be completed. The forensic anthropologist's report came in on 1/21/21. Once they got that they had to find somebody who would tell the story they wanted to tell which turned out to be Dr. Smock. His report came on on 5/27/21. Then they had to get the GJ to indict Matt the ham sandwich in between that date and the date he was arrested which was 6/17/21.

Thank you, I did not know the dates. It is much easier to find records here in Florida.

I find it disturbing that both his child and wife died by hanging from a tree. He gives me Chris Watts vibes. But imo, the prosecutor didn't prove their case. Or maybe it's just that the defense provided a good rebuttal for the theory the state came up with. No date of death is known, no toxicology, no eyewitnesses, no dog evidence. It's just not proven. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have never watched a trial from start to finish before - I happened upon this bc I somehow came across his police interrogation interview. From that, I was leaning towards guilt.

But IMO the state had no evidence.

His inconsistencies regarding him being awake/asleep/texting are easily explained by the Ambien (I'm surprised the defense didn't bring in an expert to attest to that, but I guess they didn't need to)

The most "damning" evidence was his use of the past term when he referred to her.

But IMO that isn't even close to enough to convict someone of murder.

So, those of you who think he did it, what makes you think that?

This entire case disturbs me. Suicide disturbs me. I believe the jury did their job well and the prosecution didn't prove a crime.

I suspect that MM was very difficult to live with.

I suspect that MM was very difficult to live with.

From the trial we learned things were fine until his son committed suicide. It's quite common for marriages to fall apart after a suicide of a child or another close family member.
