Columbus Police investigating rape, torture of children in east side home

Jose Rosales and his wife Rosa Rosales appeared in Franklin County Common Pleas Court on Thursday. Jose Rosales, 33, is charged with three counts of rape and five counts of child endangering. Rosa, 29, is charged with five counts of felony child endangering because detectives said she “permitted the torture to happen.”

Police say both parents denied Franklin County Children Services access to the children at home and at school and the parents removed all the children from school and placed them into homeschooling.

This 2nd article says one of the kids reported the abuse to school. The nurse saw "hanger marks, bruises, and lacerations on the child's back, left shoulder and left arm." So dad pulled them out of school.

How do we as a society close that gap?

That article made it seem like the children were placed with Rosa's parents? Her Mom is quoted as saying something like oh no now we have all 6 children. I really hope they aren't placed with any family members who think the parents are innocent that will not help these children heal!
