TIFFIN, Ohio (WTVG) - Four people, including two children, were shot and killed on Huss Street in Tiffin Wednesday.

According to officials with the Tiffin Police Department, the victims included two kids and two adults. Officials originally said one of the children was taken to the hospital. Later, officials said the second child died at the hospital.

All four people who were shot died.

Pauly added that there are no known family connections between the two adult men and the two children. The identities and ages of all four people have not been released.

Tiffin Police Chief David Pauly confirmed that several shots were fired and multiple individuals were wounded. He noted one individual appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

“I can confirm there have been shots fired and multiple people shot," Pauly said Wednesday night. "One of which appears to be self-inflicted.”

That's kinda odd. Especially if it's considered a murder/suicide. I suppose a stranger could have murdered the family, then turned the gun on himself.

According to police, the mother of the children had returned to the home to remove belongings due to ongoing domestic issues. She had arranged for Dustin Willey, 29, the father of her oldest child, to help her move out while her husband, Ryan Eagon, 42, was believed to be working out of town.

Police said the mother and Willey were inside gathering items as the children, ages 7 years and 7 months, waited outside near a vehicle. After hearing the 7-year-old cry out, they went to check on him and saw Eagon in the driveway.

Police said Eagon immediately chased Willey, pushing past the mother and firing multiple shots. According to police, he then shot both children before continuing to fire at Willey. Eagon then fatally shot himself.

This is awful. The victims are all smeared by the perpetrator and he makes himself out to be the caring estranged husband. No wonder women fear to leave domestically violent relationships.

selfish selfish selfish. Two children dead and another man all because Eagon couldn't face being left by a woman. Sick. Heartbreaking for the mother who is left behind.

This Ryan Eagon, what a stupid loser. You are scum if you shoot ANYONE but a tiny infant baby and a 7yo? Because what, you felt emasculated and embarrassed that your wife was leaving you and you felt you owned all these people? One of the most pathetic things I've ever heard. Small "man." If our country really wants to do a better job of protecting the sanctity of family, maybe we could start with taking domestic violence accusations more seriously.

This mother is in pain beyond what the vast majority of us will ever experience in this lifetime. I unfortunately have some family and acquaintances who have lost their small children. It never gets "easier" or "better" or whatever people like to say that is pish-posh. But you will carry your children in your heart forever, they won't be forgotten, and their legacies will continue to make an impact in this life. Their lives were real and had meaning and purpose. And there will be happiness in this life again.
