RIP Garrett. I am thankful that they arrested these men so quickly and may justice be served.

What i find so interesting is that a lot of the "rumors" stated on the topix forum turned out to be true. Including some names of potential suspects & their associates. I wonder if the police were following the comments on there.

I'm going to try to follow this case for a while. I believe this is the kind of thing that can motivate a community to attack the drug problems. It is going to take more than just law enforcement. It will take everyone. How many times have we heard of cases where someone knew the perps were dangerous but nobody turned them into the police?

I don't know about ohio, but the whole state of WV, there is a major drug epidemic involving pills. Violent crimes & robberies have increased greatly. Mostly over drugs.

It's a major epidemic everywhere. Not one area is immune to this problem.

At the same time last year and only one mile from where I live, there was an elderly lady whose home was broken into during the middle of the night. She was robbed, murdered, and her house set on fire. No arrests have been made and her case is still unsolved. :(

This poor elderly woman was a victim of this horrible crime on account that she had several kinds of prescription medications in her home.

That's how far these pill heads will go to get ahold of your prescription medications if they know you have them in your home.

So sorry to hear about your elderly neighboor. Sad thing is someone out there knows who did it and they aren't talking either.

I thought the same thing. They called Kessinger out as the suspect pretty quickly.

Topix removed the main discussion thread. To many copyright violations where people were posting whole news stories.

Drugs make people do stupid things. Did you see the news about the guy in Kanawa County, WV that stole the neighbors pygmy goat. He dressed up in women's underwear, killed the goat on his kitchen floor. They also found porn around the body of the goat. That's some scary stuff! He was on bath salts.

From March 2012:

Wednesday afternoon during a pre-trial hearing, Baldridge pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated murder and one count of tampering with evidence.

Prosecutor Mark Kuhn tells WSAZ.com that Baldridge was immediately sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for at least 23 years...

Last month, his co-defendant Joshua Kessinger pleaded guilty to Maloney’s murder. He was sentenced to life without the possibly of parole for 15 years. That plea came 11 days before his trial was supposed to start.
