"Local teen reported missing," Independent [Massillon, OH], 13 October 1976, pg. 3.

A 17-year-old Canton boy told police that he and Gary had been hitchiking [sic] to Massillon but that they split up after they had an argument.

The other boy said he saw Gary get into an older model car about 11 p.m. at 12th st and Shorb ave NW in Canton. He said he remembers little about the car except the car except [sic] that it was a full-size model and was occupied by three other people.

The missing teenager is described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall, having a thin build and shoulder-length hair. His right arm is in a cast. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown T-shirt.
