Hmmm, not much info, is there? Oh, well...
"Gives up" on what? Was the grandmother living with her mother or a partner/spouse?
Sounds sad, and scary. Hoping she doesn't have suicidal thoughts. Maybe we'll learn more soon.

Agreed. The lack of even basic information (name, age, photos, etc.) from MSM, family, or LE in this case makes it difficult to even speculate on what might be going on here.

Today's world makes it almost a given for many to "give up". IF anything is found for this family, I would be willing to help this young mother. Us oldsters need to step up to the plate, our family or not, they ALL need help to navigate this mess.

Thanks for checking. Let's hope this situation has a good and safe ending. Having more, or at least some, information would be helpful in this case.

For reference, Avon Lake is just outside Cleveland- how very odd that of the very few sources online that mention this case, it's all just the same original aricle being reposted verbatim. No further info anywhere it seems. Odd for a large, populated area where you think getting the word out with names and photos would be very helpful. ??

Agreed, there is basically no information available here. Many MP cases start off with minimal information, but I don't recall any cases with so little information. There's basically nothing here to go on.

I lived in Avon Lake until 2007. It's got the lake to the north (hence the name), the highway to the south, and some rural-setting large residential lot properties around it. It's more of its own little town as opposed to an extension of Cleveland like you see in other suburban communities like Chicago where things just sprawl out and it's hard to tell where the city actually starts and stops. It's been a while but we didn't have a newspaper for the town then, and going on's usually didn't make it into the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper (such as traffic fatalities, etc). So I'm not surprised this hasn't shown up in MSM.

Thanks, @GraceG -- that does help a bit -- our local newspaper here in Raleigh, population just under one-half million -- kept us up on local doings, politics, business, crime, society, entertainment, and national and international news, etc., etc. Then the paper was bought by a large company which owns 30 newspapers, in cities of all sizes. When this happened, our local news went very small and it's very disappointing. We don't subscribe to it anymore -- I was a subscriber before I graduated from collage here in Raleigh -- I read it every day -- I miss "how it used to be," so I can understand the frustration where local news has isn't covered as well as many folks probably would like.
Maybe we'll get a little dribble of news tomorrow.
Hoping she and the kids are safe and on their way back home.
