Details of Disappearance​

Welch was last seen in Dayton, Ohio on March 4, 2002. He has never been heard from again. Welch was homeless at the time of his disappearance. Few details are available in his case.

Hi there was just looking this one up from Charley project.

Given the few details we have my pure speculation surrounds the common trope of homeless people passing away in hidden wooded areas. Especially if someone has substance issues, they will seek extra hidden places to use without being interrupted, and if they pass away there it is sometimes months or years before the remains are found even in the city.

But that is only speculation from vibes. It’s too easy to slap a simple non-homicidal stamp on this kind of missing case when in reality, sometimes there is more. Furthermore if he did pass away in a hidden spot, 23+ years really is a long, long time for nothing to be found.
