Wait. Who turned down TES? LEO or Family? Or both?
I'm new here and I have looked at the acronym help page but I cannot find what TES stands for. Can someone please clarify this for me? I'm sure it's obvious but I cannot for the life of me figure this one out.

I think it's possible that a teen runaway could still be ok. Someone else mentioned cabins nearby. If he was hiding out in one of those, he'd have everything he needs to survive.

Some cases, I read here, Im thinking - no good possible outcome, but because of his age and the weather, I think there's still a chance.

With a hoodie and a pair of sunglasses, he'd be a young looking busker, but he could be out getting change in plenty of cities.

I have no idea what's going on in this case, but I think it's at least possible he's still ok. I hope he ran away, because that seems like the best outcome to me.
I'm hoping there's new information soon.

I think it’s unlikely he ran away, at least long term. That morning, he wanted to STAY HOME from school. How do you go from that to the complete opposite of running AWAY FROM home. Something very drastic happening between him and his parents would maybe push him from one end to the other, but it just doesn’t feel like there was a premeditated escape plan if he wanted to stay home from school. And then, to stay away through Christmas and this long after? IMO highly unlikely. Anyone who has visited his YouTube channel can tell that he was a very regular poster that cared very much about his subscriber count. Daily video uploads or at least weekly. To disappear, and not keep up with his online presence would surely be very painful for him and would alone probably coerce him back home. I have an 11 year old that is similar to this level of commitment to his YouTube channel lol. They just don’t abandon it after they’ve put in all that work in building it up.

That’s what I was thinking, he WANTED to stay home. Unless he was furious, had his feelings hurt to the point of wanting to run away makes zero sense to me.

I remain unconvinced that’s him in the video on his way to school.

His mother would know by the way he walked, the gait, what he was wearing....it’s odd the police aren’t confirming that it’s him on that video.

By all accounts, school, friends, family... according to police he won’t talk to or warm up to strangers. This information is INCONGRUENT with what we saw on his videos and posting his phone number.

I don’t like the sober living house next door, zero talk of pedophiles in the area being checked, and the absence of mom & dad on camera. Do police have his cell phone? Is it broken or did they take it from him- I’ve heard both.

Warming up to strangers online is very different than face to face in person though...

True I suppose. I wonder if he borrowed a friends phone to make contact with anyone after his was taken/broken? Does he have xbox live? A tablet? There are so many ways WITHOUT a phone he could have been in communication with someone BAD pretending to be a child.

Why did he want to stay home from school the day he disappeared? Did his parents think this was an unusual request?

Sounds to me like something was happening at school that he wanted to dodge.

Since he was made to go to school, did he decide to skip school that day and something happened to him due to the choice he made after leaving his house as to where he would spend the day?

Had he been threatened by school bullies and they were waiting for him on his walk to school?

It's also possible he wanted to stay home so that he could pack a bag.

Locals created a collaborative map to document everywhere they have searched:
Areas Searched for Missing Harley Dilly - Google My Maps
This collaborative map doesn't include a search of the high school campus, behind the campus, or Bataan school where kids say in the past he hung out? All the kids hang out at Bataan or King's Hill, even the stadium's bathrooms. There's plenty of areas he could be hiding out and the search seems a little too broad and missing areas kids would typically be. Even Riverview Cemetary, the Garden's and the Water Treatment Plant, there's all kinds of places back there to hide out. With school being out on break, there's probably not a lot of kiddos out that would report something if they saw him so he would have space. If he didn't get picked up, if he was indeed not feeling well and was on foot, he could've sat in any of those areas to rest and yet no wider search of the area? The police said they did a search of 150 acres, why wouldn't they search the outskirts where a kid his age would actually go to get away from his parents? This just boggles my mind. JMO

Deleted. I described a child from a nearby town going missing but he was found quickly.

The sober living house doesn’t allow anyone with prior violent or sex related charges.

Drug use in Port Clinton is rampant. Violent crime is high as is property crime & theft. There were several high rank Port Clinton DEA officers recently charged with corruption. A doctor charged in August with 200 illegal narcotic prescriptions. A sex offender running a daycare last year. Aside from great schools, Port Clinton doesn’t have a a lot going for it. This is coming from someone who grew up in the area.

A sober house of vetted applicants seems like the least of worries, IMO!!

It is weird that Chief hasn’t even mentioned local sex offenders or clearing their whereabouts.

We don’t know if police have his cell phone or not. Nor if it’s broken or not. Very conflicting reports on that.

The collaborative map likely doesn’t include any LE searches. It was put together by a PI Group for residents to just check off where they looked and is now being maintained by residents that are running one of the missing pages.

Running away and staying gone over Christmas does seem extreme.

I'm assuming police and parents would have spoken to friends first to see if anyone had heard anything. Someone with an online presence could have friends their parents weren't aware of, though. I'm hoping that gets looked into - but I don't know what LE looks at. As a minor, his parents would have the right to access accounts, wouldn't they?

He has been found and returned home according to Vermillion Police Facebook.
I must have deleted it right when you were posting that! Can you delete so child's info doesn't get out?

The water truly is a MASSIVE and accessible area all around Port Clinton and seems like a massive red flag to me seeing as Harley seemingly just vanished - no sightings, no sign of him, cadaver dogs picked up nothing, there is just nothing at all. I can't believe no searches or attempts have even begun. They searched the shoreline within a less than a 150 acre long stretch (again, literally less than only a quarter of a square mile) - that is it.

Harley's mother said that he said he was feeling sick and wanted to stay home from school. We have no other proof of that, and timeline specifics have changed or altered since he was first reported missing. I think we should keep all that in mind.

When I first learned about this case last week and started to look around at Harley and the family's social media accounts etc. I was really thinking (hoping) that this might turn out to be a "Balloon Boy" type situation. Telling his running away story would make for some epic livestreaming, and plenty of social media attention and validation for mom. I no longer think that is likely and am extremely worried about Harley. I'm almost hoping that someone has him somewhere because at least that means he is alive. I'm so worried that he might have been feeling extra hopeless, scared, upset that day and decided to harm himself. I'm also worried that maybe there was an argument at home and tempers flared out of control, resulting in Harley's disappearance. I think abduction is low possibility at this point but not impossible. I can't imagine that he ran away and is hiding out by himself somewhere after 10 days but that would be the best scenario if true!

The whole case doesn’t make since.they talk about the mother where is the father in this whole thing.i think they need to question both parents more.i have a feeling something isn’t being said.also why are they not having more people help?did they check the house for hiding places?there are so many questions and no answers.if Harley had problems why didn’t the mother or father get him help instead of calling the police every time he got mad?i really hope that the truth comes out on what happened to Harley or where he is.

Who all went out to dinner & drinks before he was reported missing? How far away from their home is that? Was that before or after the friends dad sent the boy home?
