• The investigation is being conducted by federal, state and local law enforcement partners.

• Here’s what I need from you. I need the investigation to be allowed to continue uninterrupted.

• Please don’t spread rumors, rather, if you have information about this case, please contact the

• I am asking our residents to continue to help by sharing flyers in person and on social media.

• Please allow the professionals involved in this case to continue to do their job - we are working tirelessly and will continue to do so until Harley is brought home and reunited with his family.

• Briefing on this case has shifted from a daily in-person briefing to information solely provided via the Port Clinton Police Department Facebook page.

• If there is a major case announcement, we will notify the press via our Facebook page with appropriate lead time and share information about where and when the briefing will be held.

• This shift in briefing allows us to continue focusing resources on the case and should not be construed otherwise - we appreciate the community’s outpouring of support and sharing Harley’s picture and the tip line information.

How do we know if this whole story isn’t made up by the parents?the mother said she was the last one to see him.i saw that she has medical problems and the dad just started a new job so money is probably tight.they have no evidence to say he ran away or anything.who knows the parents could of had someone pick him up and take him to make it look like he ran away.they didn’t report him missing til later on.instead of the police checking everywhere for him I would be questioning the parents and do they know if he was really wearing those clothes that was stated. The picture that was caught on camera does not look like a puffy coat they shouldn’t of posted the pic if they weren’t sure.this case makes me frustrated.

The original post (which is now deleted) was checked in at Texas Roadhouse Steak in Sandusky, Ohio on Milan Rd. Familiar with is as friends live out in that area. Yet, looks like someone saved it and shared on group.

Port Clinton to that Texas Roadhouse location is about 25 miles.

There’s snow and the temperatures have dropped. While I’m hoping Harley is safe, my thoughts are also with those who are out there in this weather tirelessly searching for him as well.

I noticed that when he first went missing a lot of friends had to tell her to make the post public so it could be shared. Maybe it's a similar reason for the video being friends only? She doesn't seem too tech savvy which makes his massive SM presence all the more concerning Imo.

So IF he ran away voluntarily, he would have to be sheltered somewhere. I am assuming that any homeless shelters nearby would question an underage child showing up alone and/or be watching the news about this? So if it isn't that, then someone would have to be harboring him. If it was an innocent friend or even an innocent person he met online, I just can't imagine with all this publicity harboring him and not telling police unless you have nefarious and ulterior motives. Right?

My only thought is if he was being hid by a fellow kid who had like a guest house or apartment above the garage or something like that and the parents were totally unaware their kid was hiding Harley. I guess that could happen? That would probably be best case scenario right now.

I keep going back to the person Harley said was the ONLY PERSON he could completely trust. I hope LE is talking to him. He may have valuable insight ...or more.

He seems like a very bright resourceful guy ! Praying that works to his advantage ! The time keeps ticking away and that is always a huge worry for missing people. If he had planned to get away and was more prepared than anyone is aware that might be a good chance as well. All the things we don't know..... I hope that those are in Harley's favor

The boy in the video doesn’t appear to have on a winter coat of any kind.

Did he always leave for school that early? Why?

The mystery of the vanishing puffy coat.....

Did anyone actually (allegedly) lay eyeballs on him when he left home for school that morning?

He definitely thinks outside the box- I’m still cracking up about selling tickets to watch his scheduled fight.

I can honestly say, that’s something my son could have done at that age.

I didn't think the kid caught on video (dash cam, wasn't it?) was him. No puffy coat, just looked like maybe a hoodie? or a padded type shirt? Also, I couldn't really tell if it was a boy for sure; could have been a girl. Surely his parents would be able to tell by what he was wearing & his gait? And know if that's a place he would be at that time?

The 41 hours & the dinner out is what's really getting to me, on top of the SM stuff with his phone number, having been locked out of the house & he live streamed it, etc.

I have many thoughts. I really hope this guy is all right.

I do not understand why Chief Hickman continues to insist he will be reunited with his family. Why not just leave that off? Just say find him safely? Harley left for a reason. I hope there is some bigger reason behind that and not just a lack of understanding.

The 41 hours can really only mean two things.

1. Crappy family who doesn't pay attention to their kid
2. Crappy family who did something to their kid.

1 is not that abnormal. I had a friend in HS that would be gone for 2 or 3 days and not contact her mom. This was normal to them, and even then it bothered me. If something happened to her, it would have been days before her mom would have noticed.

Why would you? Or rather, why wouldn't you to find a clue. Either way I found it a strange statement
