Counselors will help students, staff cope with Harley Dilly disappearance
Sandusky Register

PORT CLINTON — Port Clinton students and staff will have support as they cope with Harley Dilly’s disappearance when they return to school on Monday.

Port Clinton Schools superintendent Patrick Adkins said the district didn’t offer counseling during winter break when students weren’t in school, but counselors will be available Monday at the high school and middle school. Teachers will recommend students to seek counseling if they have need it.

Adkins said he and two Port Clinton firefighters searched all district buildings for evidence Dec. 22 and firefighters also checked all athletic facilities. This week, Port Clinton police searched Port Clinton High School a second time with high school principal Gary Steyer.

Adkins said the school wants to help its students cope with Harley’s disappearance.

“We’ll take it day by day and hope Harley comes home soon,” he said.

On Thursday, the reward for information to Harley Dilly’s safe return increased to $9,300 following recent donations from local organizations, Port Clinton police Chief Rob Hickman wrote on the department’s Facebook page. The amount has steadily increased since Harley went missing Dec. 20.

Hickman said previously the FBI, the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s office and the state patrol all helped in searching the areas where Harley was last seen, including the use of two helicopters. At one point, there were 75 officers from the various organizations assisting in the search that happened after Christmas.

Harley, 14, is 4-foot, 9-inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds. He has brown hair, green eyes and was last seen wearing a maroon puffer jacket, gray sweatpants and black tennis shoes. Harley also wears glasses.

I was thinking the same thing. I can see cell phone and other internet records being subpoenaed...but who could they be executing warrants on? I would hope anyone like the sister or the friend's parents would be consenting to a search, no warrants needed, no?

Probably his friends on Facebook, Instagram, and those whom he shouted out on YouTube.

If I lived there, I’d be wondering just how safe my kids were. How competent the police department was and if one of my neighbors were a PREDATOR.

Harley looks sooo much like Kyron to me!

Harley, yep, it's a mess. Walk into a fire station, you'll be welcomed with open arms!
Great minds think alike! I had the exact same thought and even thought this handsome Harley favors Desiree somewhat. Then I googled Kyron’s age and realized it’s not possible.
Where is Kyron? Where is Harley?

Also in public record lookup are calls in 2014, 2015, that brought battery charges to the mother. Domestic disputes plead down.

Records show police called to Dilly residence 5 times since 2016

SABBM:

PORT CLINTON - Records show police were called to the home of missing teen Harley Dilly, who has not been seen for two weeks, five times over the past three years.

At least four of those five calls to police were made by Heather Dilly, Harley’s mother, according to dispatch records obtained by the News Herald.

The listed reasons for the calls vary, but the two most recent calls cited “unruly juvenile,”
including a call in September, which specifically notes an “unruly” 14-year-old, appearing to refer to Harley.

Records on the three other calls made to the Dilly residence during that same period, between May 2016 and March 2017, do not include any references to a juvenile. Each of the calls were placed by Heather Dilly, according to police records.

Among the reasons cited for those calls include “custody dispute,” “civil complaint,” and “disturbance.”

Man, this case is complicated.

So many possible scenarios.

So much for LE to unpack.

JMO.

What the article said was that there were two juvenile complaints, a domestic disturbance, a custody dispute, and a break-in. Obviously this family has some problems.

Where is Kyron? Where is Harley?

I doubt that Kyron's step mother drove from Oregon to Ohio, just to kidnap him and make it look like Kyron's disappearance.

Just to clarify that is not at all what I was implying but that the resemblance between Harley and what Kyron would have looked like at the same age is uncanny. Hence why I googled the birth date and determined the impossibility. Kyron is missing and so is Harley!
I really appreciate your input but would appreciate kindness given the circumstances. Thanks!

To unlock Harley's phone and SM accounts.
Anything else ?
Most likely his parents and sister's phones/SM don't need a subpoena/warrant, as they'd freely offer it to help find Harley, right ?

I think this shows that the family was deeply troubled.

Agreed that there are many scenarios and maybe not all of them obvious --as in he just ran away and is hiding somewhere.
This is looking grim.
Poor Harley. :(

What does she mean by that, and not seeing him, that morning?

One would hope that everyone and SM would be agreeable to help a child missing and very possibly in danger. But not sure if they will require a warrant or subpoena. Am sure they have their own protocol re privacy policy. This has sure turned into a major rabbit hole. Praying there for you Harley. JMO

I have followed missing persons cases for a long time and one thing that always impedes the public from helping is when the basic facts are still convoluted one to two weeks out. And that is what we have in Harley's case, unfortunately. Even at this juncture, while knowing all about his Social Media involvement, we do not know for sure how his phone was removed from him...was it broken or was it just removed as discipline? When was it taken..or broken? We do not really know the last time he was seen...was it Thursday or Friday? Did he go to school Thursday or no? What time did he get home Thursday night from the friend's house? What was he wearing? Did he actually have PTSD or autism? If so, why isn't the public being informed of these important facts? We need to understand what Harley was dealing with as far as official diagnoses.

I think we all know that things are not good. Harley had a tremendous urge to be online each day. He thrived on his Social Media interactions. It would be tough for him to remain distant for so long unless something, or someone, was preventing him from doing so.
