Press Conference - it’s states he didn’t have a phone that he had broken it a week before
IF, he did indeed break his own phone immediately prior to Christmas in hopes of receiving a new one, he wouldn’t be the first! My son has managed some pretty unbelievable ways to break a phone, one being that he fell down the stairs. He wasn’t hurt but that phone was destroyed!
Also it sounds like Harley’s phone would have been his life line for more than one reason. IMO

Just wondering, has it been said if dad is biological or step?

My fear is that they already know they won't find him alive. That is why they are covering land with cadaver dogs. I wonder if they have searched the local dump?

I disagree. I think they have NOTHING - I think it would be a good idea for the FBI to issue a statement. I think there is a lack of confidence in that town’s handling of this case.
The people there deserve some answers to basic questions. They have children too. I’d be scared as hell.

I really don’t understand why the mods haven’t intervened or even commented on this thread.
They did, two or three pages ago.

The only sighting we can actually corroborate is the one by the friend’s dad that told him to go home around 7 - at the press conference it was stated he was picked up on video headed home at 7:20.

If he made it all the way home, was he locked out?

weren’t the parents dining out & drinking 35 miles away? They returned around midnight when they finally reported him missing, correct?

where would he go if he was locked out?

How can you claim to corroborate what the friend's dad said just based on his word and not corroborate the mother's claims that are based on her word? Where's the proof he was at the friend's house? It works both ways IMO. The parents are nothing but victims at this point. The chief has repeatedly said there is no reason to believe they are involved and they have been fully cooperative. Literally over and over again.

It was stated at the press conference that Harley was CAPTURED ON VIDEO 20 minutes after the friend’s dad told him to go home HEADED TOWARD HOME.

it wouldn't be the first time that poor child was locked out of the house. and why? at 14 he should have a key so he could get in. his parents should trust him to go into the house on his own. the child seems to be a bit of an introvert. The last time he was locked out of the house he had to stand outside and wait for his Mom to come home so he didn't get in trouble. If he wasn't there when she got home she told him she would call the police and he would end up with 30 days in Juvi. I have a feeling Harley MIGHT be a little bit afraid of cops.

I never said his parents disappeared him.
I never said his parents physically harmed a hair on his head.
I never said his parents aren’t victims.

Yep, so now we're playing word games with mom, she "talked" to him. What does that mean. She is getting in the way of finding him all by herself.

Just difficult when there are so many 'unknowns'.
There is so much we don't know as it's never been confirmed by those who saw him last.

Press Conference - it’s states he didn’t have a phone that he had broken it a week before
Early conflicting articles:
According to Chief Hickman, Dilly has not reached out to anyone, and he broke his phone a week before he went missing.
Reward raised for information on a 14-year-old Port Clinton boy who has been missing since Dec. 20

The Dilly youth recently broke his phone, so his family was not concerned about a lack of communication until he did not return the following day.

Hickman tells News 5 that police responded to the family's home about a month previous after an argument between Dilly and his parents after they took away an electronic device.
Timeline of what's happened since Harley Dilly went missing

This is the not the first time Harley has left home. At the time of his disappearance, Harley’s phone had been taken away by his parents, which may have upset him.

Dilly’s father reported him missing at around midnight on December 21. The teen had recently broken his phone, possibly explaining why his family was not concerned about not hearing from him until hours later.

Please provide a link because that absolutely is not true. They are literally asking for video of Harley on Thursday at any time from 3pm to midnight.

i think so too. It’s also another good reason for the FBI to issue a statement in hopes Harley could hear it, if he’s staying away by choice.

I agree, I have a very young looking 14 year old grandson. This scares me to death. Grandpa has been turning on the stranger danger warnings with him ever since I heard about this. But something tells me this is an insider. Don't ask why, it is just my gut. Harley was (is) a difficult kid. I could see how something in that household just got out of control.

I think they were two separate instances

bbm

Right, the dining out and drinking were FRIDAY evening and Harley was told by the friend's dad to 'go home'.
We assume he made it home because the mom talked to him Fri. morning or saw him-- not clear.
He was reported missing Sat. night at 11:50 pm.
Eta : wrong day.

it’s the press conference on the 24th I believe...it’s the one where the sounds cuts out in the beginning

So that was the last time Harley was seen outside of family ?

Thurs., not the Fri. surveillance photo where he is without his backpack ? If that is him.
So many unknowns. Frustrating.
Are there cameras at the places he'd walk by on the way to school ?
Did he stop and talk to someone ?
Another fact that's troublesome is that Harley is short and thin.
Someone could mistake him for a 12 year old . :(
