PORT CLINTON — Police are currently searching a vacant house across the street from the home of a missing Port Clinton boy.

Harley Dilly, 14, was last seen in the early morning hours of Dec. 20 before school. Police have blocked off East Fifth Street and there is a heavy police presence outside the home.

I’m always baffled by this. I either got extremely lucky or did something right bc I’m now 1.5 teenagers in (one still in teen years) and I find them to be mostly delightful. Including most of their friends.

Everyone is like “oh god teenagers are awful!” and I just love the teen years.

God no, you were VERY lucky indeed. I was an awful teenager.

That is true, there's also a slim chance that he went home and the parents called for help. It's hard to stay positive right now, though.

Maybe not. If we’re talking about an abandoned house or something, then I’d be shocked if it wasn’t checked.

But it’s also possible that someone owns it, and it was merely unoccupied. They may have checked the outside, looked in the windows, and not seen anything.

Who knows though.
