I wonder if he was dumped there recently
Highly, highly doubt it. I think he was there from day one.

It would be very difficult, not to mention insane, to recently dump a body in that area.

This wouldn’t be the first time. In the past year I can think of bodies being missed in a backyard shed, and a heavily searched area a couple hundred yards from the house where a kid disappeared.

I figured he’d be close; just not this close (if it’s him).

BBM:

You absolutely did say that you thought he was close.

I just wish to high heaven right now the frickin' PCPD would have brought you on as a case consultant.

I'm mad.
I'm sad.
And I want answers.

Poor Harley…this shouldn't be happening right now.

It should not be happening.

:*( I thought somebody was trolling on FB when this first broke.
I'm Gobsmacked. If he was there the whole time I'm gonna be heck a POed at the way this was handled. Ready to spit nails.

A vacant house across from the Dilly home just now being searched? It should have been one of the first things to be searched from the beginning.

That's what I would expect. That would be the first place I would look at. I have no idea though.
Wouldn’t the dogs have alerted on it?

Not necessarily. Dogs are great, but they miss bodies all the time. I’ve followed several cases where they’ve apparently walked right past dead bodies.

There are a lot of variables in play.

A break in Harley Dilly case?
Sandusky Register

PORT CLINTON — The Register has learned police are at a house neighboring the Dilly residence where suspected evidence has been found.

Port Clinton police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are there.

Dilly, 14, hasn’t been seen since he left for Port Clinton High School three weeks ago. Port Clinton police have initiated several searches for the boy.

Oh man this is awful. Was hoping this would end different.maybe it’s not him

IF that's true, then we don't have to wonder why.

Or what happened to HD.

JMO.
That would actually make sense, because the body was just found today and not previously.

Still dogs,or no dogs that house should have been searched from the start. I may need someone to call a priest Stat because I might need an Exorcism, or some holy water to wash my mouth out.
