Yes, I have not read all the posts.

And yes I have read the mother's statement.

Mother of Port Clinton teen Harley Dilly speaks out after he is found dead

MOO, I am disappointed of the lack of empathy for what this boy went thru in the last moments of his life. His feelings of fear knowing there was no way out and no one to hear him yelling for help...

One young man said once, "The emotions and feelings of wanting to take everything back as soon as I jumped from the bridge was horrifying. All I wanted to do was take it all back-- oh, but it was too late I already jumped."

He happened to be a man who actually lived through it, and tell his story.

What was it like for Dilly that very moment he realized he was not coming out of this alive??

MOO is it hurts me that this mother seems to be more concerned about her feelings, her pain than what her son went thru.....

I am beside myself as a mother with shock and pain....

As the mod. has noted, let's give the mom a break as to any of her reactions to her son's death. She may be in shock and most likely will go through a whole range of feelings and emotions.

I believe it was an attempted call by the school because according to mom -- her voicemail was full. She also complains school didn't attempt to contact six other names/contacts provided for HD. I'm not sure that's reasonable for the school on the last short day before winter break. Maybe voicemail was full so her children couldn't contact her. This whole ordeal is tragic. And why blame the school and a video game in a post to defend against being blamed.
I'm sure the mom is probably in shock! I don't think we can judge her reactions or words at this point so harshly. She is not a POI, she is the victim's mother.

And in this case, unike some others, she's not even a potential suspect.

Where is the judgement...I see a question being asked ?

It is a law in Ohio since April 2019 that if
a child is absent from class without excuse, their schools will have to notify their parents within the first two hours of school starting.

She was never blamed in any official statement so why even parce things in that term.

OK, let me be clear -- there was no judgement by me /my post and nothing alleging mom a POI. The article my post was in response to included the mother was a target of individuals that wanted to place blame on her by circulating an online petition. (I first posted the MSM).

Reminds me of twitter/tweet when not reading the entire string.:eek:

Is that standard in all states or just OH?
I wonder....

I thought we were allowed to discuss anything posted with a MSM link?

Thinking of Harley in the chimney. There had to be a point when he didn’t realize he wasn’t going to make it out alive. He might have been annoyed when he got stuck to start with. Wiggled and ended up wedging himself in there further. Once that was done, he probably called for help, thinking maybe his voice would be hear. Then called some more. I believe it wa awhile before he realized he was in a predicament he wasn’t going to get out of. Poor baby. How terrifying it must have been. Wonder if he did a life review and if he got out of there, there would be do overs with relationships. I mean, what goes on in the mind of someone that young when they are found in such a horrible place. IMO MOO JMO

This case and all of the speculations and rumors associated with it make me so very sad. :( Tensions always seem to run high when we form our own thoughts and opinions about how someone may or may not react, or their actions and inaction differ from what we believe they should.

Unless and until LE indicates there is a reason not to believe this is anything more than an accident, we really have no choice but to accept their findings. If there is continuing investigation behind the scenes, we will hear about it if charges are filed.

I hope that the public will accept the findings whatever they may be and allow Harley to rest in peace, and be lovingly remembered as the remarkable young man he was.

I'm not familiar with video games including Fortnite but hope this can be a teaching moment that things depicted on a game are not reality. (His mom alleges the game could have given him the idea for seeking treasures). I now wonder if the game illustrates entering a chimney or confined space head first which would really limit the possibility of escaping or even recovering from that position.... Hope Harley's story can save others from a similar tragedy.

Speculations and unfamiliarity....hmmm
Blaming a game is ridiculous.
However the game does not allow you to go down a chimney.

I'm not disagreeing with you about people being angry, but, we don't know everything and really very little about what happened the night before Harley went missing. There's too many rumours to even get started on that. I have not read anywhere where the school called his mother, do you have a link?.
"School officials said they attempted to call his mother on Friday after he didn't show up, but her voicemail was full."
