FOREST PARK, Ohio —

Forest Park police say they are looking for a 2-year-old taken by his mother.

Police said Priscilla Kavanaugh does not have custody of her son, Harper Hamm and he is considered a missing person.

He was taken around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Hamm is described as biracial with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 3 feet tall and weighs 27 pounds. He was last seen wearing a green coat, green shirt, jeans and green and gray shoes.

Kavanaugh has a history of mental illness and is not taking her medication, police said.

She is believed to be driving a dark blue 2008 Jeep Compass, Ohio license plate GNA7482. She was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket, gray pants and brown UGG boots.

Early Thursday morning, police gave an update and said the boy and the woman were both located in Springfield Township. Police said the boy appeared to be unharmed and was released to his father.

Kavanaugh was taken into custody.
