RSBM

They are racing against the clock, because if Ja-Nialah Tolbert isn't found soon, her life could be in jeopardy. Norwood police say in the condition that Tolbert was in on Monday morning, if she does not get the surgery she needs within the next five days, she may not survive.

"Ja-Nialah’s a young girl, 14, she might not understand the seriousness of the medical condition she has and just how grave danger she’s in, so we’re hoping that she’ll see this and call us, or we’re hoping again that a family member will come to their senses and say, you know, 'Maybe this isn’t a good idea,'” said Lt. Ron Murphy.

Could this have something to do with the family’s religion?

I can’t come up with any other reason why family of a 14 year old would do this.

If you search around fb you will find the mother and the young lady's diagnosis. I hope she is found and readmitted quickly.
Major illnesses are scary unfortunately we live in an era where folks believe they know more than experts.

So if you search for Ja-Nialah, try taking the hyphen off.
I still think this child might need some medical assistance. Maybe family member and child can approach a medical lawyer and get help that way. The concern is that this is going the illegal way, as per the hospital.
Sorry just rambling.

I'm seeing reports that Ja Nialah has been taken back to the hospital. I hope the reports are accurate!

On Tuesday, she was brought back to the hospital by a family member.

Police said she walked in on her own power and seems to be in good condition.

Tolbert will be evaluated by medical personnel, police said.

Murphy says police did speak to the family member who removed her from the hospital.
