A lot of .22 rifles are fairly compact. My daughter’s little single shot .22 rifle that I bought for her when she was 8 years old, is only 2 1/2 feet long and weighs less than 3 pounds.
People are asking how kids get guns. I'm quoting Bobcat because it was an admitted statement that they bought it for an 8 year old. So how many other parents will stand up and admit they have bought either rifles (for hunting, i'm assuming) or pellet guns or any other types of guns for Under 18 year olds? Not saying its right or wrong, i knew TONS of kids who went hunting in HS and younger. In fact most of these kids probably have more training than many adults.... HOWEVER,,,,, it just shows how easy it is to get a weapon of some type.
I would bet 90% of kids out there know a friend that has, or has access, to a gun. Its not a gun problem, its a WHY ARE OUR KIDS DOING THIS problem.
