An October release date is set for the woman identified by the suspect in a Nazareth abduction hoax as his mother, imprisoned for her role in the murder of an infant he says was his sister. Mathew L. Cooper has used Facebook posts to keep alive the memory of his sister, Jacqueline Cooper, murdered at the age of 13 months in 2004 in Ohio.
The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer reports Vanessa L. McGlumphy, whom Cooper identified as his and Jacqueline's mother, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and endangering the welfare of children for failing to protect Jacqueline and her twin sister, Layloni, from McGlumphy's boyfriend, Daniel S. Duffield.
Duffield was convicted of murdering Jacqueline. She died Oct. 6, 2004, with a broken neck, broken ribs, a severed liver and old and new fractures in her arms and legs, according to the report posted on prisontalk.com. She also had been punctured 47 times with a tattoo needle on her face and feet.
