The Wood County Sheriff's Office has requested help in locating a woman who has been missing since August 2006.

Description: Sheila R. Main, Aka Sheila Rene Hamblin

White female, Age 37

Height 5'3", Weight 135 lbs.

Blond Hair, Green Eyes

Wears upper and lower dentures

‪#‎Tattoos‬ include flower on left wrist, heart on left breast, and cross on right calf.

Sheila was reported missing from her home at 19676 Pemberville Road, ‪#‎Pemberville‬, OH. Husband advised Deputies Sheila left their home sometime on August 17, 2006, and has not been seen or heard from since.

At approximately 4:30pm on August 17, ‪#‎OregonPolice‬ department received a call from a witness that there was a tan Blazer broken down at the intersection of Bay Shore Road and La France Street in Oregon. The witness stated a blond woman was in the vehicle and refused help. Also reported the woman was acting strange and then walked east on Bayshore Road. When the officer arrived, the woman was not in the area and the vehicle was identified as belonging to the suspects' husband ‪#‎AlanMain‬. Mr. Main was contacted and came to the scene and had the vehicle towed back to his residence.

She was one of the first names brought up IIRC but I didn't add her originally because she was over 30 and in the beginning I was only adding women under 30. I'll add her now, the name keeps cropping up for some reason which is a bit spooky as I don't remember where

I don't know what she looked like but being only 5'3" tall she could have looked much younger than she was. Thank you for adding her to the map Skibaboo!

I was over on the <CUE> Community United Effort facebook page earlier and saw Sheila R. Main, Aka Sheila Rene Hamblin's Missing Person flyer/info. I imagine that there has been renewed interest in her case and many others in the area due to the tremendous ms and social media awareness created since JDW's arrest.

Due to JDW's MO and historical pattern of victim selection from known info, geographical location of Sheila Main's disappearance, and her victim profile; size, weight, haircolor, etc. Imo, she would be a likely targeted victim of JDW should the opportunity arise.

Yes. I have both of them on my list, though I am uncertain. They were both found about 160 miles from Delta.
Which certainly doesn't exclude JDW, it's just that until we have a better idea of his movements, we're trying to keep things closer to home (because otherwise the list would be neverending).

Have you read the article about the note found under Sarah's pillow? Very odd.

Just an observation - But I think that it is interesting that teen victim Kathryn Menendez, went missing only 30 miles from Swanton, Ohio on August 21, 1994, which was also a full moon, as in SJ's abduction..

I haven't seen anything in depth about Sarah Boehm's previous attempted abduction, but it is referenced here:

Mr. Gall showed a haunting WTAE-TV news clip from late 1993 in which Sarah is interviewed about her attempted abduction by a man she claims to have fought off in a Rochester Borough alley. &#8220;I was thinking, &#8216;Oh, God, please don&#8217;t let him kill me. &#8217; &#8221;

Rochester police looked into the report but eventually didn&#8217;t believe it rang true.

ETA: Kathy Menendez wasn't from Portage, she was from Portage COUNTY. At the time of her disappearance, she was ready to start her Senior Year at West Branch HS, which is in Beloit. (This threw me for a loop when I was first looking into them)

Okay I'm definitely confused now can anyone summarize exactly where each of these two women were living and from where they were abducted (if different than the own town ) and where they were both found . Also I saw someone also commented one of them was seen walking near Norwalk which sort of rings a bell to me that maybe it's related to the Norwalk Raceway Park that has drag races and special events All Summer Long and I also wonder if there was a show on the day or night of this one's disappearance

Sarah was from Rochester Pennsylvania, and Kathy was from Alliance Ohio.

Both were found near the Berlin reservoir in Portage county Ohio. I don't know if that is in the town of Alliance, or near to it.
