None of it makes sense. All of a sudden they have video that clearly shows him. That other link I posted was of him outside, wasn't it? I'm on my phone and I thought it looked like it was outside.

I also thought I saw a timestamp of 12:15 or something but don't quote me on that. I'm going to have to look again.

According to the article, they have mutliple reports that he was seen leaving Union, and he is also seen on survellience tape leaving alone. “We have multiple reports that he was seen leaving Union,” Cozad said. Now 10TV has learned one of a handful of surveillance cameras in the area shows LaBute walk out of Union Café alone." So people saw him leaving the bar and/or walking down High St. alone.

While this may not be new information to the family, it is definitely new information to the general public. The article concludes by asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the 700 block of North High St. to call police. That leads me to believe that they have released this information to the public with the hopes that if people saw him walking alone, someone saw something more along this busy street the night Joey disappeared. "Sources who’ve seen the video say detectives are trying to determine who he may have met after that." They obviously know or have some kind of information that leads them to believe he left the bar to meet up with someone. I am thinking his phone/phone records would provide information as to who he was communicating with or planning to

Also in the article: "We have also learned pending toxicology reports could be affected by the amount of time LaBute’s body was in the Scioto River." This implies Joey was in the water for an extended period of time. And we may not get answers from the tox report.

This should have been released to the public sooner IMO Now all these weeks later they expect someone to remember seeing him...

It was footage of the restroom not outside. I wonder who the guy is at 12:15:36 that appears to be holding on to Joey or Joey holding on to him...Isn't that about the time the cousins said they last saw him?

It's so grainy it's very hard to tell. They should have released this right after he went missing.

I'm trying to wrap my head around why LE misled the media and public about the surveillance footage being too grainy to pick him out. The footage of him coming from the restroom is quite clearly Joey. Perhaps they had a suspect in mind earlier but now need more evidence from witnesses? This investigation has been very frustrating to watch.

The dance floor footage though is pretty grainy (which one is he by the way?). There must also be footage of him leaving Union. They have cameras aimed right at the door.

Looks like he's right below the camera on the dance floor talking to a female. Lower right hand corner. But if you watch the news clip they have him highlighted as toward the middle of the dance floor. Very blurry pic.

Well, where is the video clip of him leaving the bar alone?
Why hasn't that been released to the public? And was that surveillance video from Union? Or was it from some other business?
The images are somewhat grainy, but you can still make out his plaid shirt. I wouldn't label this as "too grainy."

I wondered if that was the cousin as well- I don't remember if we ever saw her in the media to get an idea of what she looks like...

In one of the restroom cams- it looks like he might be holding something/have someone leaning on him? Does anyone else see that- it's hard to make out from my phone I was trying to wait until I got to an actual desktop computer but curiosity got the best of me :-/

I just find it strange- the news story last week said they had survelliance of Joey leaving alone- now today they're asking for anyone who might have seen him leave with anyone. BUT in the beginning of the whole case they couldn't make him out on video at all. Obviously they have video of him- but they only showed clips from inside Union- so is there actual footage of him leaving or not? And if they do have him walking out alone- what time did he actually leave union? I think that could be an important bit of information- especially for someone who might have been in the area but not specifically at union....I mean ya never know what might trigger someone's memory.

I agree the release of these photos is strange. They've already stated that they know he left the bar alone. They have multiple reports he left Union alone. These pictures aren't showing him leaving, they are showing him standing in the bar and going to the restroom prior to leaving. My theory is that they are not asking the public to identify anything in these photos; instead, they are showing *someone* they know what happened. Perhaps the person who put him in the water is not in these photos, but the reason they put him in the water is there.

Is there perhaps an exchange in the restroom area between JL and the man the passes him on the right in the time between the 15:35 and 15:36 minute mark? 15:35 right arm appears free, 15:36 appears to be tucking right hand under left arm, next still at 15:36 JL does appear to be holding something under his arm. Hard to see.

Good catch, MerryB. His arm movements do appear consistent with grabbing something and perhaps holding it under his left arm? The man passing on the right doesn't appear to ever look at Joey -- or at least his head is pointed straight ahead in each still frame. The other thing I notice is that the man isn't really moving as Joey passes though he might be stuck in line for the restroom. Hard to tell if there's people in line in front of him.
