Regarding LE-This is a dedicated and adept group that are determined to get justice and sort out this crime. I have had an occasion to have some contact with them, and they are working unceasingly on this.

I've been reading about prison gangs. Johnny's tattoos on his chest and arm resemble the same tattoos shown in photos of the Mexican Mafia prison gang. moo

I'm pretty sure that's not Lisa in the photo.
Doesn't look like the zero sign. That is thumb and pointer touching in the shape of a zero.
In the photo, they have ring finger and thumb touching and middle finger crossed over the pointer finger.

Straub and Clarke both died of asphyxiation and are thought to have been killed some time between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.

There was no forcible entry relating to a home invasion; however it appeared as if someone had been searching through a part of the home, according to Det. Stooksbury.

Lisa's family has set up a reward to find the killers.
Donations can be made to the "Lisa Straub Benefit Fund" at any area Fifth Third Bank location.

This is a very sad story - 21 and 20 years old. So very young. I couldn't sleep last night thinking about the way these poor kids died. It had to have been horridly painful and terrifying to suffocate slowly with a plastic bag over one's head. Unspeakable, enough for a lifetime of nightmares. The poor families.

As a born and bred NY'er, I have to admit I'm somewhat baffled with the obsession with the gang culture in places like this small midwestern town. Growing up in NYC in the 90s, among myself and my peers (of all colors and backgrounds) gangs were seen as primarily the lot in life of poverty-ridden, uneducated teens and young people with literally no other options available to them. I just don't understand what would make middle-class white kids from small-town Ohio want to emulate these gang members. Perhaps it's the "MTV" culture...a lot of these kids perhaps are raised on TV and popular culture and see the gang life as a glamorous one, i.e., bling, easy money, etc. Being a product of NYC public schools, meanwhile, I saw first hand that essentially all gang members who don't somehow find a way to turn their lives around quickly end up either dead or confined to long prison terms by the age of 25 or 30, and also the fact that 99 percent of gang members are not living luxurious lives and in actuality are bringing in less money than the average minimum wage worker. Ugh. This whole obsession with gang culture among middle class white kids from these tiny towns just really baffles me. Lisa looks like she's from a good family. Did Johnny have a job? I just can't believe her parents would allow her unemployed ex-con boyfriend to live with her in her bedroom. Very strange, and very tragic.

That being said, again, these were young kids, and of course they did not deserve to die in this horrible way. It looks like Lisa was studying to be a nurse, and maybe she would have helped Johnny in turning his life around. Now we'll never know.

Anyway, my first instinct with this case is that the perps are acquaintances of Johnny's; I don't believe Lisa's ex-boyfriend had anything to do with it, and it seems too personal to be a stranger or random crime. RIP Johnny and Lisa. Hoping the killers are caught soon.

The mom said during that call she was told by the girl that the house was locked the lights were on but the inside was disarray or something like that.
That is why she got in touch with Johnny's mom. After she went to the house and seen the inside. My question is how did she see the inside of the house? The police had been to the house twice and didn't see anything.

Your husband has a good eye. Just looks like a shapeless blob to me! :loser: Looking at them side by side, I do see a similarity to Venus De Milo. Are there other pictures on this Facebook? I haven't looked at it myself. If anyone has added it, perhaps they might gently ask about other pics? Not sure how that would work, or if that's something we're not really allowed to do here...

I've been wondering about this too...how could she see in, if LE couldn't? Did she know the house well and know to look in a certain window? It is at least suspicious to me. I hope she has explained it.

Hey Guys - I need your help here before this thread gets any longer, please.

There are several posts talking about Tiffany and a facebook that may or may not be her. My understanding is that Tiffany has been named in the MSM and she is on the 911 calls. We can discuss her in that regard. Any references to a facebook that may or may not be her needs to GO!

WS does not allowing linking to, or referring to sites where it is not confirmed to be the person in question. In addition, if she is not named a POI or suspect, she is to be treated as a bystander. Now, I understand she is in the MSM & 911 calls and we can discuss that, but we can't be perpetuating unconfirmed rumors that she is a criminal.

Some rumors are allowed, but not rumors that insinuate a person is a criminal, kwim?

Also, we do not talk or sleuth other members. That is a serious offense and will result in a TO. It is like talking behind someone's back.

Please review your posts and alert any that I need to snip or remove until we get further info from LE or the media please.

I read today where they are having a fund raiser for JC's funeral expenses ...one of the comments made about the article sounded like they may have been from Lisa's family...they were upset because the flyer said "it was a fundraiser for JC and Lisa's funeral"...at least that was what the inference was...and the person who wrote the comment said Lisa's family had nothing to do with it and thought it was tasteless to include her name....a $5 cover charge at some bar...wow...I bet the undercover cops will be there big time and probably the killer(s) will be too...wished I could go and be a fly on the wall and listen to all the kids "theories"...so so so sad...
