New information about missing Belmont County couple

“Joni's Sister's Fiance, Paul Newell said, "For him and her to disappear with her handicaps and the way he treated her, it's, it's not right. Something's wrong."
Joni Davis' sister Jackie said Brian Goff stuck to routine and structure.
Davis said,"They at at the same places daily. He had his routine. They would eat. He would go to the gas station on the Island for his cigarettes, Reese Cups and a lottery ticket. He would stop at Arby's in Aetnaville."
And they haven't turned up at any of those places. They said Joni and Brian were not spontaneous. They would not have decided to take a trip on a whim.
The Belmont County Sheriff's Department and the family have searched for a week.”
Sheriffs announce $5K reward in missing couple case

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Sheriffs in two Ohio counties are offering a $5,000 reward for information about a mild-mannered couple missing for the last year and now feared dead.
Belmont County Sheriff David Lucas and Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla in eastern Ohio announced the reward Monday concerning 65-year-old Brian Goff and 56-year-old Joni Davis.
They were last seen June 10, 2018, on a surveillance video heading north on Ohio Route 7 in Belmont County after leaving a Pizza Hut. Authorities say the last ping on Goff’s cellphone was in neighboring Jefferson County that day.
Authorities and family members have acknowledged it’s unlikely they’re still alive, but are confounded why anyone would have killed them.
Abdalla says foul play is suspected and people who’ve been questioned have failed stress and lie detector tests.
Amen to that!I think of Brian and Joni often and hope that someday they will be found and laid to rest properly. May justice be served.
they were probably hijacked or carjacked as someone or somebodies wanted to exit that area quickly. W

my first impression is that they would be found in water since the car is also missing, however, the article indicates that the Jefferson County Sheriff believes it was foul play.
