MARION, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) — Karen Landon is, in her mother’s words, “a big talker.”

“She loves to talk, she would have contacted somebody,” said Judy Landon, from her home in Maryland.

This is not good. It`s hard to search for Karen as it`s unclear where she was when she went missing.

I agree - not good at all.

• LE is searching for KL in multiple states - she was last heard from in May.
• She was with her boyfriend, a long-haul trucker, and is believed to have been in Nebraska when her mother talked to her.
• JL said her daughter told her she and the man had an argument and that she had gotten out of the truck.
• Marion Police investigators did not call the trucker a suspect, and he is not charged with a crime, which is why ABC 6 is not naming him.
• But investigators said the man also said the pair had had an argument.
• JL said after KL’s disappearance, the bf’s behavior became erratic.
• “Every time he called it was a different story,” she said. “He said she got in with another truck driver, he’d seen her in this town, that town.”
• Police said they are in contact with the trucker.
• They have also gotten help from Ohio’s BCI and the FBI.
• KL has three children, one in Marion and two with family in Maryland.

Karen Landon, 40, was last heard from in May and was reported missing on June 22. Police said she was safely located Wednesday.

So for 6 months she’s been safe in another state while her mom cared for her kids and everyone worried that she was dead...?
How could she have not tried to contact her kids? I can’t imagine inflicting that kind of pain on my babies. I just don’t get it. I guess everyone has their own stories and reasons. It’s just that since I’ve become a mother myself, I sometimes find myself not being able to fathom how some parents could do things to hurt their kids without a thought. JMO.
