That's because it's a prohibited site as indicated by the asterisks.

I didn't know that's what that meant, thank you! Does that mean it's not credible? I had never seen that site before found it on a google search. Sorry!

Well, it usually means it is someone's blog, which is just their opinion...not usually based on real info, IMO.

The weirdest thing BF said, for me, is that he feels "she is someplace close." Huh??

Is there any explanation as to why people should be looking for her engagement ring? Why is the ring the only thing being pointed out? Makes me wonder if she still had the ring at the time of her disappearance. How can we be sure that all was well between the couple and the engagement was still on? Did anyone else see her on that Saturday? Does she have pierced ears and does she usually have earrings in even when sleeping if she does? Any other jewellery that she wears regularily like a watch? Is the engagement ring the only jewellery that is missing? Why not release the type of phone she had? There are a lot of different types of phones and lots of them could be red.

What was she wearing when JC saw her last? Have those clothes been found in the home indicating that she changed into pyjamas? What about missing shoes?

Strange that none of these details are on her missing poster.

I would think this is probably just due to the fact that it's probably quite valuable,
and if someone abducted her, they might try to pawn it.

It's been a little persnickety ever since the server upgrade :)

clucian- rolling fine for me:) and I have several windows open

WELL- since LE says there is no sign of a struggle inside- then I think it is safe to say she must have answered the door, to either someone she knew or didn't know...and left with them willingly or unwillingly. That's about all I got.

Not for me right now. When it gets slow I usually close down the internet and go back in. That usually helps.

I also wondered about the engagement ring. The article I saw talked about it as though she's not wearing it, which is puzzling since I don't know how anyone would know that - unless of course it was left in her apartment, in which case no one would be telling readers to keep their eyes open for it. Robbery doesn't seem to be the motive for her disappearance, since her purse wasn't taken nor anything else from her apartment, so I don't know the reason for the assumption.

It did cross my mind (having just finished reading The Closers by Michael Connelly) that the ring article may have been planted by police in order to shake up the fiance, especially since it had strange wording: "Katelyn Markham's family hopes if you get a look at her engagement ring, you might be able to help them find her. They say if someone finds the ring it could be a major lead to where she is." Well duh.

true true ShouldB- anything possible

One thing I just wondered. She was supposed to only work at David's on Sunday, correct? Didn't someone from THERE try calling her to see where she was? It being a smaller biz- you would think the manager would call and say - Where are you??
Was this new, her not showing up, or something she had done before, not showing up or not calling?
Has anyone ELSE even said they tried to call her that day.
Can LE find out what other calls she had come in or out Sat & Sun?

Has it ever been said who else saw her prior to JC presumedly the last to see her?

Maybe the ring is simply the only jewelry known to be missing...

As far as the text/photo goes, did he say the time was around 12:45AM? And had he tried to call her or text her before that, seems to me he said he did. If so, it sounds like whatever made her leave, happened very quickly. I can't imagine why she would send him the photo of herself if she knew he was off to burn her papers...

I agree. I remember Casey saying something similar about Caylee. I wonder what makes people say that? Especially if they are guilty. I would think keeping your mouth shut is better than saying that.

Probably not very valuable, actually. Diamonds have piss-poor resale value (in spite of what jewelers want you to believe) and a bunch of tiny marquis-cut diamonds especially aren't going to be worth a damn. The gold might be the most valuable part of that ring, given gold prices. And depending on what kind of computer or TV she had in her apartment, they're possibly worth more than the ring.

...But none of it's worth as much as the car. Which wasn't stolen, in spite of the presence of the keys.

She was suppose to work both places on Sunday. We don't know if anyone called either place to ask about her or if either place called to ask about her. She was reliable according to the information we have.

A few people have commented about how it's odd she would have had her cell phone with her so I thought I would throw in my 2 cents.

My sister has her phone with her constantly, usually in her pocket and not her purse. She even makes sure she has it when she takes the dog outside. I guess it's a safety thing, maybe from living alone? Probably one I should follow more. She's not one of those people who talks on the phone or texts constantly.

Anyway, I guess I could see how Katelyn might have her phone with her if she answered the door, someone coaxed her out and the abduction happened from there if it happened to be in her pocket. I wish I knew if they knew if she was still dressed or was wearing PJs.

ITA, I live at home with my boyfriend and our doberman pinscher, in what our city claims is the second safest city in texas, and I keep my phone on me at all times(embarrassingly usually in my bra lol). My point is, it doesn't matter time of day or location, my phone is with me.

I think, besides the go-to suspect of her boyfriend, its even possible she went to her car to retrieve something on her own and had very unfortunate timing and crossed paths with a crazy person...I am not saying its the most likely, but stranger things have and do happen all the time.

And I agree Inch High, wish we knew if the door had been locked...

Well if they had been together most of that day or at least that evening, I wonder why she would not have shown him the picture on her phone if it was in fact sent to her by a third party. Unless it was sent to her shortly before she resent it. Or were they having a text conversation after he left and that was just the last thing she sent him?

That whole phone, text, picture thing is just very odd to me. How would the BF know so soon that her GPS was shut off? Don't you have to get that information from the phone company? Or can you track that information yourself somehow? Was the BF able to track her GPS location and why on earth would he be doing that?
