SchoolgirlShamus, thank you for your stellar post. I'll be working from it, building on it, and using it as a guide to this case going forward.

Also: You mentioned a little while ago that you typed up a transcript of JC's 911 call; would you mind posting that?

MOO ... Admin: if this shouldn't be listed, please feel free to remove.

People who COULD be involved, even though they have been checked out, since LE doesn't always get the right person, the first time:

1) Boyfriend

2) Father

3) Mother

4) Boss

5) Stranger

6) Someone who obsessed about her or admired her from afar.

7) Neighbor

Anybody else?

Since LE hasn't cleared anyone, the list could be extensive. Father's gf, an acquaintance, a friend, a classmate, a friend of either family, etc etc etc.

IMO, we have so little to go on. JC was the last one to have seen her as far as we know so he would be at the top of the list of people LE would look at. When they clear him and family, they will start looking outwards. As of right now, who knows who and if they have a POI. They're not saying much at all.

JC said there were some "questionable" people at the fair. I wonder why he would say that? Did any of them say something to him or Katelyn?

:waitasec: I went back really far and can't find anyone saying this. Are these posts deleted or can you draw me a map?!

The JC folks do not believe in freedom of speech, I've never seen people with their panties in such a wad about people saying or doing anything that disagrees with their small minded thinking. I actually sent an email to a reporter here in town this week and said quit letting these folks "limit" what the public is hearing....ASK SOME BETTER QUESTIONS......they all "kid glove" him and his enforcers....don't know who is making this a bigger joke the reporters or JC. It took NG asking about a lie detector test BUT how many local reporters had interviewed the boy. Shameful!

I agree. I think their small minded thinking is not helping to find Katelyn. It makes me so sad.

If the FB page was created by a family member or close friends of JC, I'm not surprised they delete any derogative discussions about him. Where are Katelyn's family and friends?

Also, I doubt local reporters are professional investigative reporters like we see on CNN as an example. They get whatever information is fed to them and report it. That's it. They don't go digging for facts and I've noticed many don't even question LE or request updates. The ones that do, like NG or JVM walk on eggshells. I'm guessing for fear of getting sued if they start implicating someone. My :twocents:

It appears to be deleted but I will look again. The person who claimed to be a local said her sister heard someone at Kreogers (sp) talked of the finding. This same handle went to the Local 12 website and asked there if there was any truth to this because people saw 2 local news station vehicles go towards Sacred Heart Church area and they wondered if they were connected. Then John's mother posted that the news was not going to a find of remains but going to her house to ask John about the apparent find of the cellphone, battery and earring.

I hope that made sense.

Yes, I read it too at first, cant find it now. Note that there are 2 face book pages. One is a regular "missing" page and the other is listed as an event. The one thats listed as an event is the one where there is alot of arguing and some interesting person who claims to be a local crime solver. Im not sure if he is for real or not.

The one with the rumors and arguing is https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=222757371109820

Something that stood out to me: in the 911 call, I read that he said something about knowing that he wasn't supposed to report someone for 24 hours so it would be a few more hours before that point was reached.

How did he know --- at that point --- that she had been missing for a certain number of hours?

A normal reaction would be that you don't know how long she's been missing but she didn't show up for work and isn't at home, etc, etc. I think he goofed. JMHO

ETA: Even if he had seen her the night before, he didn't have a way of knowing, within 30 minutes of showing up at her house or whatever, that no one else had seen her all day, kwim? He pinpointed her time that she went missing to a certain timeframe.

Ok, Im usually a commenter,, not a sleuther here, but this is weird. On the event Facebook page, someone refers to the friends and family of Katelyns as "wicca peeps". I have no idea what that is, I thought is was young slang ..lol.
Its some sort of religion!!!! Wow Wow Wow

Right. But how did he know for sure - that early on - that no one else had seen her all day? I think he told LE too much without meaning to. MOO

If you google wicca or look closely at the comments on the event page for Katelyn, there are people there that do not deny they are wiccans, they defend it.

Wow I AM sheltered..lol
