Here's a link to the 911 call. I also typed up a transcript if anyone wants that.

http://www.fox19.com/story/15295662/police-release-911-call-reporting-katelyn-markhams-disappearance
I was starting to wonder, since the other link/video appears to only be an except from the 911 call.
http://www.wlwt.com/r-video/28909094/detail.html

Unfortunately, this fox19 page/video won't work for me :banghead:

ETA: got it. had to use Opera instead of FireFox. Maybe this tip will help someone else :)

The 911 call and the timeline of her fiance JC looking for her on Sunday are baffling. Appreciate if anyone can clear anything up for me.

During the 911 call, the dispatcher asks for the address, then asks, "And you're out there now?" He says, "Um, I'm heading out there now. I, like, have been trying to get ahold of her and I decided to go by her house to see if she's okay, and her car's still there - she would be at work right now with her car. Which is why I'm like really freaking out."

However, he ALSO said in the 911 call: "Her purse was there, nothing but her cell phone was missing." And later in the call he says, "The only thing that's not there is her cell phone, which is positive, but she's not answering it." These comments indicate he'd been in her apartment already by the time of the call.

So, according to the things he himself said in the 911 call:

1) He went to her apartment and went inside.
2) He found her gone, and examined her belongings thoroughly enough to assert later that nothing was missing but her phone.
3) He did not call law enforcement.
4) He then went somewhere else (where? why?).
5) He then RETURNED to her apartment, and while en route, he finally called 911.

?!

Especially if her dog was confined in an unusual way, why did he not call LE immediately the first time he visited?

Keep in mind his house is .2 miles from hers. I drove it today myself. That makes this all that much more odd to me, he was so close all day so why wait ALL DAY before he went and checked to see if her car was there.

Can't you tell us, more or less, what was said? Anything that points to LE thinking they have a POI?

I can-

Says that JC himself has said he's a suspect, but that the police department isn't saying that.

They have had access to his car, found no evidence.

His tone TOTALLY changed when asked about her father and how he is cooperating with the investigation.

At one point mentions something as "evidence" and then corrects himself.

Encourages the community to come forward with anything they know about her "feelings" and plans for her life.

It's not what he said it's HOW he said things and it's what he DIDN'T say.

I was driving in the car and thinking I hope the folks at WS listen to this.

The whole show was really about her, but the Chief's interview is during the first hour. I think right around 12:30 I am listening to it again right now.

I don't like that JC doesn't answer the 911 operator when she asked him if he has called hospitals and jails.

No medications, no thoughts of suicide, no arguement.

Called her father, the only thing not there is the cell phone, Sacred Heart festival.

The radio host asked if the Fairfield police chief had contacted Katelyn's mother. His response was that Katelyn was adopted. (?) Then he said they have been in contact with her adoptive father. No word about the adoptive mother. Don't know why he brought up adoption or why he didn't answer the question about the mother.

He did say there was no sign of a struggle or of foul play, in her apartment or in her fiance's car. He said the area around her apartment has been examined in the most extensive ground search in the history of Fairfield, yet nothing was discovered.

Could she have been looking for her bio family, perhaps? IDK but I don't think her fiancé is involved.

He's cooperating.
No evidence in his car.
No history of previous domestic violence.

Strange thing. The police chief was asked it they have spoken to KM's mother he said no not her mother. She was adopted we have spoken to her adopted father.
This might not be his exact words.
He didn't mention why they have not spoken to her adopted mother.........

Police Chief Interview-listening again and typing what I think.

No concrete evidence to lead to finding her.
No evidence of foul play, no injury or struggle.
Hope for good outcome prepared for the worst.
Left everything personal behind and disappeared.
Victimology would tell you victim has relationship with victim and suspect.
List of large, wide circle of friends. In process of contacting those who haven't contacted them.
Right now missing person case.
Have talked to FBI and BCI, BCI has collected some things. Can't discuss possible evidence.
911 call-pretty straight forward, JC been cooperative, speculation about statements, looking for objective conclusions not subjective.
Can't answer about lawyering up, said hasn't heard that.
JC timeline-most part accurate, probably gaps from when he left her until he called them short gaps.
JC vehicle-allowed to examine, trace evidence (then corrects himself) said would expect trace evidence, nothing suspicious in the vehicle.
JC identified himself as a suspect.
No evidence of a struggle in car or apartment.
Surveillance question made chief uncomfortable.
Search for Katelyn the largest search in the history of Fairfield, feels covered the county except for inside secure buildings.
Chief's message-someone certainly knows something even if not direct could lead in a direction to go, ex boyfriend, heard her talking about her life plans where she wants to be going.
Katelynn's mother not contacted, she is adopted, adoptive father very cooperative, early on agreed to have apartment secured, been in touch with detectives a lot, appreciate him.
JC on the box-that will probably occur again chief became uncomfortable made Willie laugh. Chief said innocent until proven guilty. Looking for facts.
No evidence of foul play or non foul play didn't answer Willie's question about JC's involvement.
No domestic violence in past

I caught that too and it seemed strange that he had not checked into that.

There have been cases where a loved one/family member is a bit strange, or doesn't act the way people think s/he should, and they are uninvolved. To me, it will take a whole lot more to begin suspecting anyone.

We had that hiker in the Pacific Northwest who went missing a few weeks ago, and everyone was all over the boyfriend for the way he came across in interviews. Turned out, she was just lost in the woods (thankfully, found alive and relatively unharmed).

I have no clue why he mentions she was adopted- I am adopted and If I were missing I couldn't see how that would matter -unless my birth family had been found and I was having problems with them. ( OT which I have found & they are fantastic)

I do have to wonder where her Mom is?

'People' need to realize that MSM is gonna pick the case apart, unfortunately...so 'they' are just gonna have to hang on and keep finding her their primary goal.

JC's Gma's interview on 700 WLW

JC not doing very well.
Upset with earlier report on 700WLW
Gma would probably be shocked to death literally have a heart attack if JC is involved
Most focused young people, she is about to graduate, working on senior project
KM and JC have worked together on everything, seen them together a lot, never seen them disagree, no drugs, no alternative lifestyle, no arrest, do domestic violence
JC went to Fairfield High School
Together for 6 years, engaged for 1 year
JC goes to school, pizza jobs, Dollar Store jobs
Close relationship, soul searching about how young they were, KM so close to JC's mother, Gma feels KM is her grandchild,
Gma cracked up when asked if she is a runaway bride, family coming in from out of town, no one knows what to think
Family wearing badges with her picture
Gma called to say quit speculating about grandson, she was pleased to hear Willie talking to the chief,

I know someone VERY close to the searches and they said her relationship with her adopted mom is not good, but not sure why they brought that up in the interview I have a call out to my friend.

I know I am not all that "normal" but I forget my phone about 1/2 the time when I go out on errands, etc...and never go back for it. This radio host says "women love cellphones"..Chief says everyone does, not just women...
I think it is very odd that ONLY her phone is missing...I can't see why she would go out for any reason at midnight, or after. And most abductors wouldn't take the phone unless that person had texted or called her and wanted to make sure LE did not get hold it.
