Personally, I didn't like that guy yesterday not only because of the pointing finger but he came across as this being a big joke. Referencing the Runaway Bride, etc. So unprofessional, imo.

He is the most listened to radio personality in Cinn., he rubs folks the wrong way sometimes. My husband made a valid point the grandmother called him he didn't call her and ANYONE in Cinn. knows Cunningham and knows his tactics.

I am becoming obsessed with her phone being the only thing taken...why did someone need to get a hold of her phone? A random home-invader would leave the phone, so as not to be able to have it tracked in any way. If she was abducted and did not just leave on her own (very doubtful to me) then it was by someone who was in her phone in some way.

I am still catching up on this case, even though I am local to this area - I watch national news so I missed this story when it broke.

BUT -- the one thing I have not found out is who saw her last besides the fiance?

That phone has been bugging me too --- my gut thought is the phone was taken to push the timeline back. IE: a alibi placing her alive or at her condo way after the real time of 'disappearance.'

So, has anyone heard who besides fiance was the last to see her and when and where that was?

They are NOT reporting that, I wanted Cunningham to ask Chief Dickey that yesterday when he interviewed him but he didn't.

Is LE issuing any kind of warning or "be vigilant" to the women of the community?
Or do they feel this is isolated to Katelyn, I wonder...

I really don't want the BF to be guilty of anything, although the alternative is no better at this point...

Issuing NO WARNINGS and I even emailed the chief detective and was told that there is no evidence to support that the public safety is an issue....

JMHO, but his DETAILS seem to be him trying to be consistent (yet, he is not!) and he is trying so hard to convenience the listener his deep, deep love......but, if they are engaged wouldn't that be assumed and not need to be what needs to be talked about?

He never worries she fell ill or was wandering the county with amnesia or something... No, he says "Who would do it, or if anybody did it" <------ what it? (6:20ish)

The nervous touching is a red flag to me even the nervous giggle (2:55ish), the past tense talk (we were planning to go to Colorado, what you won't go now?????) there is just so much here that bothers my women's intuition.

IDK, but this guy either interviews horribly or.........my gut is right on.

Just venting.

That seems like a bold and potentially dangerous statement to make UNLESS they believe that she isn't really missing or that this was a targeted crime. They (LE) seem to be clear on the fact that they think she is really missing and for the latter IIRC they have found no real evidence of a crime period and lacking that how could anyone rule it random or target specific? So that entire statement to you makes no sense to me.

Checking in to get the latest... No new articles or information? I sure don't want to believe the boyfriend is guilty here but so far, I keep going right back to him. Nobody else has mentioned it but in the interviews I've seen of him, he always has this smirky smile that rubs me the wrong way. WTH does he have to smile about when the woman he loves is missing?? Praying for something that leads to Katelyn!!!

BBM

I am really trying to hold on to the hope that he is just the most awkward public speaker ever but the more I read and hear the harder it is to keep thinking that way. I do hope that he isn't involved and I'll say a thousand sorrys for even thinking he might be if he does turn out to be innocent but I'd feel much better if LE would give him a LDT and rule him out so that his strange behaviour would quit drawing the focus back to him.

Again I think if LE didn't already have their eyes on someone they would be holding news conferences, doing interviews etc., I feel they are sitting back and watching and waiting. I think if this was "unsolved" they'd be swooning the public for information. They they think they have their man or woman and they are just playing a cat and mouse game I think.

Gah! I can't believe I did not think of this before now! (Bad sleuther!) I have an Android phone and it has an app called Latitude. This same app is available for Blackberries and I have seen on FB that she had a Blackberry Pearl.

Anyway, this app enables people to track you by phone or by computer IF your GPS on your phone is on. A friend who lives out of state showed me the app and at first we were using it for fun because I was traveling a lot. Kind of a "where in the world is Inch High" type thing. I quit using it though because the GPS is a huge battery sucker. I just looked at my phone and it shows my friends location as "stale" meaning he must have his GPS turned off too. It also tells when the last update was "4 days ago" for him, now "0 mintues ago" for me. I remember thinking at the time "this would not be something I would want if I had a jealous/possessive boyfriend."

This may be how they were able to determine her GPS was turned off. And could also be why whoever took her turned off her phone. Did they know she had this app?

Here is a link about this app there is a short video that shows how it works:

http://www.google.com/mobile/latitude/

I was hoping someone would post that! Also, the newer smart phones have GPS built in and photos are marked with the location. People complained and not too long ago, I saw several news stories on how to turn the GPS off on your phone for that reason as people were tracking folks from pics they uploaded to facebook, etc.

Again, my gut tells me he knew it was off because he 'helped' turn it off. JMHO.

YEPPERS. I would say unique, but that feels like an understatement! To use his words, blah, blah, blah.........really dude, when any detail might be important about the last hour you spent you say blah, blah, blah?????

Anything new? TIA

No I am turning 700 back on because Cunningham is on from Noon to 3 and he is like a dog with a bone when he starts with something like this.

This is the only thing that makes sense given their email statement to you but I hate to think about what that must mean.

JC's sister said on another forum that they were suppose to meet with JC's parents to talk about the move to CO that night but cancelled because Katelyn was tired. So she was too tired to meet with his family but was still texting him at almost 1 a.m. DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!

They concentrated on the ring because it was "different" and they asked the community to check pawn shops etc. to see if it had been pawned.

Maybe Katelyn was not too tired to discuss the move to Colorado. Maybe Katelyn did not want to go because she changed her mind about the move.

I can't help but think that something changed between them (KM & JC) that afternoon/evening. Maybe it had been building for a while (IIRC mention was made of his FB posting habits changing recently) and finally came to a head that day but it seems that hearing from others that saw them or spoke to them in the hours before she went missing is key here. I really want to believe he is innocent but it just isn't fitting as time goes on and it seems that all the missing details center around him/their time together that day.

Once again I really wish LE would give him a LDT and either clear him to get the focus off of him (after which he really should step back from the media because his odd behaviors make it impossible not to focus on him) or name him a POI so we could get some more info to work with. This is such a strange case and it seems that nothing is really being done to further the search for KM (the FB group has turned to protecting/defending JC at this point).
