Hunters came upon a badly decomposed body Thanksgiving morning on the northwest edge of Ceasars Creek State Park.

Those who found the body could not tell if it a man or woman. I wonder how far Warren County is to Katelyn's home, anyone know?

One of the news articles said the body is female. The dispatcher over scanner traffic said that the hunter's reported that the body is female.

Doyle Burke, Warren County Coroner’s chief investigator, said the office isn’t really releasing anything, but did confirm it is not the body of missing Fairfield woman Katelyn Markham, who has been gone since Aug. 13.

Sadly, alot of these people wont be found unless it is by hunters or someone just stumbling upon the body. I tend to think there is a better chance of Katelyn being found by accident than TES returning and finding her. Not knocking TES but there has to be some info or lead to direct them and there doesnt seem to be anything known in KM case. Just praying for that one tip that will help lead them to her. Or someone just walks to that right spot.

The article says it is not Katelyn. There are plenty of other missing persons in the area though.

I wonder how long this woman (Nichole Barry) was missing before being found by the hunter. I hadn't heard a missing report for her before this. They have one certain man they are looking for in connection with the case. Must have been an ex-boyfriend? boyfriend? enemy of some kind?

I live just a few hours away from the area, and was in Cincinnati a few weeks ago. I'd never heard her story until joining WS.

FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) -Fairfield Police Chief Michael Dickey sat down exclusively with FOX19 Friday afternoon, saying that the department is following up on new leads regarding missing 22-year-old Katelyn Markham, and has begun re-searching certain areas.

Despite that second look, Chief Dickey says the department believes Markham is not in the Fairfield area. While tips on her whereabouts are steadily dwindling, he says leads continue trickle in from across the country, some of which investigators are following up on right now.

"Within the past week we've gotten one lead that we're looking at, and as early as two weeks ago, I got an email out of Florida with someone who provided us with some information," Dickey said.

Did anybody else hear the story on CNN's HLN a few weeks ago about an investigator who thinks there is a connection among the disappearances of Karen Swift, Holly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Kate Markham and Paige Johnson? I was traveling at the time and just heard it on the radio.

While I think a big part of the story was just the PI trying to promote himself, the theory does seem possible.

^^Wanting2Help, the investigator mentioned in the HLN story is from Florida. The story ran around November 19, which is about two weeks ago.
