I am on the edge of my seat!!! Although I do not want this beautiful, talented woman to be gone, I want there to be answers, and if she is gone, she needs to be where she belongs, with dignity. Same for Billy. Their families needs answers.

So...wait, is it animal bones or human? Does anyone know yet? I'm sure local LE know by now. Anyone in the area who could drive by the site and see if it's cordoned off?

Katelyn Markham Remains Possibly Found

I wonder who the volunteer group is. Is it the same area TES searched?

I have not been following this as closely as I would like (alas, kids need to be fed, house needs to be cleaned!!) -- but what is the connection between Billy and Katelyn? I've seen it mentioned a few times before, but never knew who "Billy" was....is it just that they're both missing? Also, why would their remains be found together? Did they know each other, or have some connection?

FWIW, Hamilton is a strange place. Don't get me wrong -- it's beautiful in it's wild ruggedness -- rolling hills and lots of deep, dense woods. My former inlaws lived in Hamilton and nearby Seven Mile. I always enjoyed the quaint, southern-y kind of charm the place possessed...but on the flip side, there are a lot of strange things that happen there.

I think it is a poorly- written article, personally...taken from another poorly-written article last night from MSM...not sure, but I think the bones were rumored to be animal bones later on. So it is all up in the air.

When I read how some LE reject the participation of "volunteers" in these searches, and take heat for that, I always have in the back of my mind that there can be very good reasons for it. Volunteers can be critical and can resolve cases. But there are often not enough checks involved, and not enough "training," and not enough time to do the training, and not enough control. Here, a volunteer apparently found animal bones and immediately told someone in the media they thought they had resolved two missing persons cases. That is seriously irresponsible. Just my opinion...naturally.

She meant well, her heart was in it.
But.
That is exactly why professional search teams have that rule: "keep it to yourself, don't talk to the media about the specifics found in a search"

Imagine the heartwrenching night those families had.

At least two people had a good night's sleep!

For the families, friends, and searches it wasn't a good night. THAT is exactly why you don't tell what you see, or hear, or find!

People need to be sensitive to the families' feelings before anything else!

After reading the FB pages, I've come to think that there are some very disturbed indivduals posting. They seem to be obsessed with Katelyn. They also seem to have way too much time on their hands. This is the first 'case' I've followed on FB. Is it always this way? Some of them are searching.

I know folks have searched the obvious places. But, I think that people that have lived in the area all their lives would know the out-of-the-way places that could hide a body. Not the obvious places. They'd have to think about it for awhile, but I'm sure they could come up with a few places.

BBM :floorlaugh:
True.
They mean well :) Just honoring a lovely, talented missing girl. I'm sure KM would be happy if she knew how many people cared...

I must say I agree 100%. There are some accusations and assumptions over there that cross the line into slander IMO. They are like a mob of hyenas toward the case and each other. I find myself embarrassed to read it it is so self serving and righteous. Some of what is said there is truly beyond the pale.

I wouldn't be surprised if the person responsible is over there taking part in some sort of sick grab for attention. (And no I do not think the fiance did it.)

I've not followed many cases, but you've epitomized the thoughts that run through my mind when I check that page. I go hoping for an update, but feel disheartened after reading (which is why I stopped reading). I know intentions, for the most part, are genuine. However, excusing accusations, gossip and speculation with the blanket statement of 'anything could help find Katelyn' is bothersome at best.

It seems so many "Missing" FB pages have in-fighting and gossip. It makes me sad.:sheesh: But oh how I want these people found and the violence to stop.

The family isnt speaking out much. I wonder why?

This may have been posted already.

Seamus O'Riley's blogspot analysis of JC statements is very interesting. I can't seem to post the link here correctly - ***************************/2011/09/katelyn-markham-new-clue.html. His analysis on JC is from 9/2.

He highlights JC speaking in past tense of KM and says it is a strong indicator that JC has knowledge/belief that KM is dead. JC goes on to talk of his stress, not about KM. Seamus points out that innocent loved ones hold on to hope for a long time using present tense speech. They hope the loved one is still coming home.

Other thoughtful comments are also on that page. One poster commenting that 11:30-midnight seems sensitive to JC. When a suspect says "goodbye/goodnight" at a certain time, that could be an indicator of time of death.

I have been following this case since Katelyn went missing...O/T..Aug. 14 was my DH's 67th birthday!!!

Today I went back a reread the first thread and I got deeply involved with her deviantArt website.....

http://lemmegetkh.deviantart.com/gallery/

Her art just spoke volumes to me. There is so much of her heart and soul revealed in all of her work. She is very talented and I feel that she has so much untapped potential. My heartfelt feelings are that she was years ahead of JC in her maturity and she was beginning to see that she was outgrowing him. I think that she was beginning the process of breaking up with him and was really resisting the move to Colorado. It is MHO that he could not handle the upcoming rejection and he just lost it that Saturday nightand did something awful to "the love of his life"..... and as he said in his second interview... "I never wanted it to go this far!"

I was particularly haunted by a picture on Page 24 of her Gallery...It was ablack and white close-up of her and JC showing their faces only... and it was titled......"Monster and Victim!"

That picture just jumped out and spoke volumes to me...JC was giving her a stern/mean look and her face showed her sticking out her tongue and acting silly back towards him. Could this picture been a forewarning if things to come!

I do not know how to do a screen shot of the picture and I couldn't get it to copy/paste...maybe some of you techie's out there will be so kind to follow up for me.

Katelyn Markham has touched me in a way that I can not express....

I have followed so many...Caylee, Haleigh Cummings, Zarha Baker, Hailey Dunn, Hollly Bobo, Lauren Spierer, Morgan Harrington, Britanee Drexel, little Aliayah Lunsford ......and the sad list is never ending.....

Dear God...Please Bless the Families of ALL The Missing....They REALLY Deserve To Have Some Answers to the Mysteries of Their Loved Ones.

I think the up-coming move to Colorado was the cause of this. Someone had changed their mind about moving. They were supposed to talk to John's father about the move that night, but cancelled because Katelyn was too tired. But, John said he and Katelyn talked about the move during the time they spent together that night. Something about the move had become upsetting to one of them.

Mustang Sally, Is this the one you are speaking of?
