What? That’s terrible! If there was ever a time for tons of people to be searching, it should be for a pregnant woman in trouble!! Disheartening.

Maybe sis called off her part of the private search party? That's sort of what I thought, that maybe she didn't hold Kayla in high regard. The dads bickering didn't sound like there was a cozy in-law scenario.

it feels like one of those “we have an idea of what you’ve done so we’re going to arrest you on whatever we can to hold you” situations, I’m interested to see if this really is of any relation though, jumping the gun and posting mugshots of black men with no word from LE on evidence makes me really uncomfortable... I hope for family’s sake that they have the right person and that he quickly gives up the location of Kyla.. since she wasn’t found deceased with her partner I’m very worried what they’ve decided to do with her...

If he's the repeat offender TB did time with, had been in contact with, had arranged to meet with, to deliver a "package" to, to pick up a weapon that neither of them can legally possess from, the sister has information not available here or on MSM, I'll add an IMO with eye roll to thinking it's not a case of mistaken identity.

Far more likely, IMO, is that since Ohio has been, for 2 years and numerous botched attempts, back in the Death Penalty business, there are some intense negotiations underway.

Truly I thought LE would make her take it down but its still there and now Kayla's dad posted it too. But hes not saying anything which seems odd. Before he was posting a lot about getting help to find her. Worrisome that hes not posting that anymore. CB did post that they still didn't know where Kayla was.

Yes, dropping the search does NOT mean the case is not still active but they have no proof that she is still alive. Prayers for her Dad and their families.

Well, I would be up in arms truly if I was her loved one. No proof she’s alive so call off the searches? Ouch. Definitely a bias showing in this case. In any other missing persons case with a pregnant woman, it’s always approached intensely... I’m discouraged by the reaction

I just think that they know what happened to her and possibly the area of where her body may be, but they don't want too many folks trudging through to preserve evidence.

There is also that slim chance that she is alive out there somewhere. Has LE ruled that out with Kyla?

Maybe they've been told not to talk online or offline by LE. LE may also have discouraged family from searching for various reasons, many of them good ones. I don't think LE has stopped searching for her at all. We're just assuming that because of what is posted/not posted in the media.

If my pregnant daughter was missing you better believe I would be out there looking for her.

Normally we would read about LE searching, dogs searching etc. shes been missing now since last weekend. Its just odd to me how this has been handled.

There's good reasons why they don't want family searching. Especially in this case, where quite clearly, it's a crime scene unfortunately, with her boyfriend found deceased and the car window was broken.

Evidence can become tainted by well meaning family members and friends.

Finding a loved one deceased is very traumatic.

I have no doubt that LE is working hard behind the scenes along with searchers, trying to find her. Just because it's not in the media, doesn't mean it isn't happening. There's no way they have stopped searching for her, after finding Todd deceased. There's a reason why they are being quiet, and right now, all we can do is wait until LE finds her, to which I have no doubt that they will eventually.

I've also said in another post, to my knowledge, LE has not said anything about her being deceased, just a matter of time finding her. If someone killed Todd, there is a chance that she could be still alive out there- whether the perps took her, or she managed to get away on her own. Believe me, LE is looking for her. Keeping fingers crossed that she still may be alive out there and is found safe soon.
