LaTricia was last seen on Saturday 1/18/20 in Dayton. Her husband reported her missing Sunday. According to her mother she drove a woman to Springfield on Saturday and hasn't been heard from or seen since. Her car was found today in the lake at Buck Creek State Park, Springfield, Clark County. There's been very little in the media until the car was found.

Dayton woman reported missing after traveling to Springfield

“I haven’t seen her since Saturday,” he told 911 dispatchers. “Her mother said she took someone to Springfield. We haven’t heard from her since.”

He said he didn’t know who Bass-Jefferies was taking to Springfield, but he knew it was a woman.

When asked if he had called Bass-Jefferies, he said her phone “was going to voicemail,” according to dispatch records.

Bass-Jefferies was not found with the car in Clark County and is still considered missing, according to OSHP.

Search for missing woman continues after car found submerged

Law enforcement says a car found submerged in the water at Buck Creek State Park Thursday is connected to a missing person's investigation.

Police records show a missing person’s report was filed Tuesday for La Tricia Jefferies.

The report says her estranged husband told police he has not had contact with her since Saturday after she took someone to Springfield, and that her phone goes straight to voicemail.

"That investigation for a missing person, Ms. Jefferies, led us here to Buck Creek State Park,” said Trooper Sheldon Goodrum, Ohio State Highway Patrol.

So did LaTricia have a car accident, or was the car driven into the lake to hide it?

There's damage to both the front and rear of the car. It's hard to know for sure. IMO it's more likely intentional but by who?

Quotes from the woman she dropped off in Springfield. Most of the article is quotes but with the 10% copyright rule I can't post most of them. This doesn't sound good at all.

Missing woman appeared ‘stressed,’ says woman who last saw her

The last person to see a missing Dayton woman Saturday evening before she disappeared said she appeared stressed.

LaTricia Bass-Jefferies, of Dayton, was last seen Saturday when she drove Natalie Driscoll to Springfield.

“She seemed stressed out to me,” Driscoll said. “That was our first time hanging out just me and her. I date her cousin, so anytime we are together it’s always at a family gathering or something.”

From what I've read her husband reported her missing. Some news accounts say he reported her missing Sunday while others say he reported her missing Tuesday.

Missing woman appeared ‘stressed,’ says woman who last saw her
[...]

After Bass-Jeffereries dropped her off, Driscoll tried to call and text her to make sure she was okay, she said.

“When I did, the phone just rang and rang and no one answered and she didn’t respond to my text messages,” Driscoll said. “I didn’t think anything about it … she had plans to go to a male friend’s house in Dayton. I thought maybe she just got caught up with that.”

[...]

“[Buck Creek] is 20 minutes from my house. I live right by the highway, if she was going to turn around and go right back to Dayton, I don’t see how she could have gotten out here,” Driscoll said. “I’ve lived here my whole life, and I didn’t know this (the part of the park where the car was found) was here. I don’t even know why she would have been down here by the loading dock.”

What a tragic ending. So sorry for her family and her friend who was clearly worried about her.

I’m so confused...so her car was found submerged but she was found outside of it elsewhere? And they’re calling it a traffic accident - was she somehow ejected from the car?

I'm confused by all of it. How did she end up on the road to the boat dock? You have to drive off the regular road to get there. She was driving the opposite direction from where she supposedly was going and then she took a back road to the boat dock? I'm wondering if she had a medical emergency or consumed too much alcohol (just a possibility). So maybe she realized she was going the wrong way and went towards the boat dock in order to turn around. If she wasn't familiar with the reservoir she probably didn't even know the boat dock was there.

Here is a theory, I believe the young lady was lured away from Dayton to Springfield & something happened to the point were she was attacked & had to fight for her life. Someone also knows more than what they are saying. Its possible she could have been ran off the road from the looks of the car & was possibly knocked unconscious. I also believe there are more people involved. Because they had to drive the car & someone followed them. The distance to the lake from the road is pretty far with no side walks & depending on the time this happened, no one would have been out there late at night/early morning. The road to the lake is pretty far & looks like there is a visitors parking lot before the lake & its also pitch black in that area at night, however you could still see the lake from the road before getting to the parking lot. If she was dropping a person off & thought she was lost because she did not recognize the way she drove there in the first place, I believe she would have called someone or turned around to go back to the person she supposedly dropped off. There is no way the young lady drove herself into the water, someone did this to her.

The 'Natalie' person stated that she tried to call to make sure the young lady got home, but calls/text were unanswered, however how long was the time from when the young lady dropped her off to the time 'Natalie' claimed to have tried to contact her? Need to find young ladies phone...'Natalie' also claimed that she lived in Springfield all her life, but never been to that part of the lake. Seems kind of odd that she also lives 20 minutes away, but never been to that part of the state park, however she was there with the family when the car was pulled out of the lake...hhhmmmm
