What's the story? A 73 year old man is missing. It's unknown how long he has been missing, but it might be as a long as June (3 months ago).

I suppose that means that he lived alone. Did that make him vulnerable to predators? What does his bank activity look like since March 2024, especially June - September. No activity? Then it must be an accident. Any activity would be suspicious.

Where's his vehicle? Did he have one?
How was it discovered that he is missing? Who figured it out first?

Since March? Why was it first thought that he was missing since June? Did someone in the family check-up on him in June, and that led to concern? Then it turned out he was missing since March 1?

Who was the last person to see him? Have his household bills been paid? Is his house intact? Where's his stuff? Where's his car? Did he have a car? Did he own a house?

Is this is the missing man's address? Did he hire employees to help with the house and yard? He must have lived alone since he was missing since March and no one noticed for months. Did he have a handyman or yard care help? Did they notice that he wasn't around?

I didn't get the impression that there is a connection between the two of them. I might be wrong, but it looks to me as if the Tiffin PD is looking for two missing people -- separate cases -- and included both of them in the same FB post.

Thank you! The way the information is presented, it appears that the two missing men were connected before they disappeared.

The dates make more sense. One was reported missing on Sept 10, the other was reported missing on Sept 13. No connection.

Tiffin man missing for a year, police suspect foul play

Leonard Nye, 73, has been missing since September 2024. Police said they are still actively pursuing leads to find him.

TIFFIN, Ohio — Foul play is suspected in the disappearance of a man who has been missing since last year, Tiffin police said in a social media post Wednesday morning.

According to the post, 73-year-old Tiffin resident Leonard C. Nye has been missing since Sept. 10, 2024. His disappearance began at his home on N. Sandusky Street, police said, but an extensive investigation was not able to locate Nye.

Other than a tax Judgement from 1995 I could find no court records for him. There is a spouse , initial "T" named in the court document, but not sure if they are still married, no record of dissolution in Seneca County. He could be widowed.

One year ago today, the Tiffin Police Department received a report of a missing person, Mr. Leonard C. Nye, a 73-year-old resident of Tiffin. Sadly, despite an extensive investigation, Mr. Nye has not yet been located.

Foul play is suspected in this case, as evidence indicates that Mr. Nye’s disappearance began at his residence on N. Sandusky Street. Some of that evidence has been submitted to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation Crime Lab for processing, and detectives continue to actively follow every lead and tip that comes into the department.

The Tiffin Police Department has identified an individual who may possess information relevant to this investigation.
