Per Tim her brother - Lorie was not officially reported missing - as in notification to authorities - until 2018 when he made the report. Did the family tell other family, friends, neighbors she just walked away? No further explanations? Seems odd that everyone would just let it go at that?

Here's a side by side of both photos of Lorie. I'm so excited now that we have another photo of her and it's so clear.
So we now know some great info about her according to Tim:

*She went missing around January 1984
*She was 16 years old
*The little girl in the photo is her sister
*She possibly vanished from the Portsmouth/ New Boston, Ohio area
*Scioto County is where she disappeared from
*She may have not returned home from school
*She may have left with a man named Ron
*Her name is spelled as Lorie Ann Blevins

I wonder what school she may have attended. It's possible there are other photos of her somewhere in a yearbook online

She attended SOUTH WEBSTER HIGH school

Nobody let it go. The police wouldn’t do anything about it. Keep in mind this was the 80’s

Well no but Samual Little thought the date of this murder occured around 1984 but he also listed other murders in other states around this time. I came up with this 1980 Jane Doe because of his descriptions of Covington, roads, hills and a park he spoke of (possibly Devou, Gobles or Pioneer park). If Lorie vanished in 1984 then this isn't her.

We don’t know if she was murdered or not. This is my mother’s sister.

A couple things that will probably make this person a rule out:
She was found 4 years earlier (1980) than when Lorie Ann Blevins was reported missing (1984).
The body was found in "Not recognizable - Decomposing / putrefaction" which means death was about a month or so depending on the elements.
While she may have been unidentifiable, their estimate of age 25-40 is probably reasonably accurate.

No. She left in April 1984. She was last seen in April she did not come home from school.

I’m on a mission to find some answers on my mother’s missing sister. Her name is Lorie Ann Blevins
She was 16 years old when she went missing in 1984 (April 1984)
She had GREEN eyes
She has a scar on her forehead area
She has now been gone 41 years
Her boyfriend she ran off with was Ron last name unknown as of this moment. He was very much older than her. Lorie would be 52 year old as of (2025) She had brown hair
Broken tooth up front
My mother has been searching for her since this has happened. Open eyes and listening ears.
Lorie was a heavy set girl 200 pound or so
She had a mole/birthmark above her upper lip
